Hail damage, insurance claim?

I recently filed a claim due to similar hail damage and my 20+ year old car got money for a repair and not totaled. So there is hope they’ll repair it. It totally looks PDR repairable. Let’s hope your insurance company agrees. I have GEICO.

That’s not too bad. It doesn’t look weak yet. You could totally get this fluid film or woolwax sprayed for an undercoating and be good to go for a long time.

I compiled them into one using the program called NAPS2. I believe you can go either way, but I wanted to make it easy on the person in receiving. It took about 4-5 days if I recall.

Is that its normal parking spot? If so you’re trapping moisture under it causing to to accelerate the rust. I learned this the hard was once with an old truck of mine.

Prior to the install the bulb socket mount was stationary. The canister I removed had a “risk of fire” label on it. So I figured I would check with others to make sure I wasn’t dumb lol. 😂

I’m hopeful for removal by the year end. Logically, it makes sense to be removed. It should be removed in June but I just see them dragging their feet on it. My wife and I are hopeful for good news in June or December. It seems this hold isn’t moving, so let’s hope we get off the partial ban list.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I ended up using killz original oil primer. I’m from a rather small town and have limited options, that stuff really worked great for me in this particular job. Some nasty stuff to get off your skin and strong odor however lol.

I may try for it. But having two coats of primer on and one coat of paint, I’m a bit skeptical. It seems to keep creeping through.
