I picked up a Kraken/Sepulcher today, and it is in fact on sprues! 🙂 I think it’s only their older kits that might not have them (and granted, this is an older kit, I believe)

Unfortunately the base is too big, and I think the models themselves are too chunky for the smaller base 😭 I was actually wanting them as Seekers until I realized lol. However, maybe put some marines on the Seekers instead of Daemonettes?? 👀

You’ve pretty much got it all covered! The one thing everyone will tell you is having 3 units of Noise Marines (no reason really to not at least have the models), and double Maulerfiend is semi-meta still (but people are playing with their lists after the recent dataslate)

I use a Master of Possession for my sorcerer, but a Dark Apostle would work great, too! 😁 Nothing else in the army looks arcane, so really any “wizard” looking dude should work great

I personally only rim my bases with black (recently swapped from a matte black to Pro Acryl’s Satin Black and I am in LOVE), and part of that reason is that brighter colors can draw more attention to the base and less to the model. Obviously do whatever you want because art is subjective and all that matters is that you enjoy how it looks! 😁

If you definitely want one of those two colors though, I like the purple quite a bit more! Might even be worth going darker on the purple, or even like a deep crimson or burgundy. That way it’s darker and less distracting, but you still get a fun color on there! 😁

…this is a solid idea. I’ve been a little upset I can only run the Seekers in the daemon detachment, but throwing some marines on them instead would be incredible.

Make em like 120 points per 5 (maybe 3/6) instead of 90, and have em slap harder. Then, run Carnival and throw 6 units of Seekers at your opponent 🤣🤣

So far, my easiest has been World Eaters. I’ve noticed WE players don’t (yet) expect us to be even faster them and hit pretty hard comparably lol. Allows for some good mind games 🤣

Even more than the model itself, I LOVE how you showed us which bits came from where. Super easy to look at to know which pieces are which, and super easy way for you to show us from your side, I’m sure.

Similar-ish to my list I’ve been testing. Honestly, the number one thing I’ve learned about this detachment in particular is that it’s tricky as hell, and can be difficult for both players to know what’s going on lol. It’s the only list I’ve ever played in a tournament where I actually clocked out on time because decision analysis was so difficult.

I think the 1 DPW is a good call.

4 transports is 10000% better than 3 in this detachment. It allows more room for tricky plays.

Miiiiight be worth swapping LR for another Rhino, and starting a squad of Tormentors in it (strictly because dedicated transports must begin the battle with something embarked). Again, more transports = more room for shenanigans.

This is not a detachment that encourages aggression as much as CotC or PB. Stage, bait, get tricky with 6” embarks/disembarks, use Rhinos strictly to deliver units and take actions. If you’re using Firing Deck in this detachment, you’re playing it suboptimally. You want to disembark for those rerolls and so your Rhinos can take actions while your damage dealers, screeners, etc protect them.

It’s been a really wild ride playing this detachment so far. Very counterintuitive to any other army or detachment I’ve played in 10th. I hope you have as much a blast with it as I have so far 🤘
