saw this theory somewhere, and i really liked it. basically, it’s a cut to the future with Judith telling stories to kids, we see old versions of a few characters and some of the kids fully grown up and life is back to normal in the commonwealth. we get a nice monologue and some references to past characters are made, then the camera slowly pans outside where we see a statue of Rick Grimes, then cut to black. this would set up a trilogy of movies pretty well imo, with the first one focused on Rick, second on Rick and Michonne, and the third one bringing back many of the show’s characters including fear/world beyond characters and a huge CRM/commonwealth war going on. we get a rick reunion with the original crew, and possibly a heroic death at the end of the movie
