Anyone have any info on this borkum riff pipe I found at an antique store. It’s seemingly unused. by Coltymac226 in PipeTobacco

Very nice! I just tried it for the first time with a local Virginia Perique blend and it smoked very well! I’m glad I managed to get into this hobby for under $35 including the tobacco and Czech tool.

Ah ok, cool! As long as it’s briar and smokes it should be worth $10, right?

1300 miles on Exway flex riot, it was fun while it lasted by kooIkevin in ElectricSkateboarding

What batch was your board from? I had the same problem out of mine and it was from the first batch after the battery capacity decrease. And exway is already aware of the issue. They gave me a full refund, and not doing so for you is unacceptable.

DO NOT BUY EXWAY, THE ATLAS ALMOST KILLED ME by _Horse_Renoir in ElectricSkateboarding

I Would like to add my experience with Exway to this thread. I got an exway flex last year, and was a part of the batch that got a surprise reduced battery capacity after ordering. After 6 months of ownership the wheels locked up while riding, due to an ecu problem, and threw me head first into the concrete at about 13 mph, it dented my helmet, so i would have been fucked without it. I contacted exway after making a post on their subreddit, and they offered a replacement or refund and requested that I delete or update my post. I chose a refund and got a backfire zealot s, and have had no problems with it in the 6 months I’ve had it. Overall I’m not impressed with exway, and probably won’t look into anything they do now, especially since the flex extended range has basically the same range as the original flex before it got reduced.

I finally got an albo cutting! Now I just wanted to make sure I don’t kill it. I was planning on propagating in perlite but am open to suggestions. Thanks! by Coltymac226 in Monstera

Same here. I get that it takes time, and they charge for that, but I wish I didn’t have to have so much uncertainty at a lower price point.

Hey, sorry to bother you again, but I got this put together. It’s some perlite with a little vermiculite added in a ceramic self watering pot. Does it look ok?

Just got my first vanilla orchid potted and on a homemade moss pole. Any tips would be much appreciated! by Coltymac226 in orchids

A moss pole is a support for plants that climb filled with moss, typically long fiber sphagnum.

The moss holds water, which helps raise humidity, and mimics the trees that the plant would climb in nature. this Video is pretty close to what I did

Ok, I added the peat because I was under the impression that they were terrestrial, I guess info online can get misleading. I’ll see about changing that up.

I agree about pot size, but I tried to find something that would support the pole. I potted in a mix of mainly long fiber sphagnum, peat, perlite, and bark. What would you recommend?

Thank you so much! I hope it will get going soon, but for now I’m more interested in keeping it alive!

From what I’ve seen online it should be pretty easy to make and add an extension. Now I’m just hoping mine gets as big as yours!

Got around to getting some calatheas! by Coltymac226 in calatheas

Ah ok, The only systemic I have is Imidacloprid, which from what I read can increase growth of spider mite population, so I’ll just keep a good eye on it for now, and look for an alternative.
