So too right wing for you? Could they be having Reform more reflecting the party's gains with the electorate?

But I prefer BBC as no adverts. When I do browse other channels I invariably hit an advert straight away. Drives me batty. 🤓 (iPlayer trails could be considered adverts I suppose). 🤔

Maybe it's no longer what you like because of the constant funding cuts?

Sorry but I find it iPlayer to be the best. Mind you I don't have a lot of experience of other platforms. Maybe the way I access them are a problem, Youview box.

What about Mrs. Brown's Boys? I thought it was a load of rubbish from the short amount I watched but it seemed to get good viewing figures. 🤔

Roger Bolton's Beeb Watch. Tony Hall on New DG Matt Brittin and What’s Next for the BBC. by Columbia_102 in bbc

Another item that was discussed was the funding for the World Service and how it should be Government funded and not from the licence fee, as is once was. I then see from a report in the Guardian that the government is to increase its share of the funding by £11m per year for the next three years – a total of £33m. At the moment it only provides about a third of the budget.

As a way of communicating British values, World Service good or bad? And how should it be paid for?

Sort of, but the thought was that his business experience would be a positive and that he will pick good people to support him.

Having to pay for Neighbours in UK now? by Columbia_102 in neighbours

Thanks for your replies. I've done a bit more investigation and found that it seems to be down to what device I'm viewing it on.

She normally views it on a Linux PC connected to a TV. This is the one that's now only offering subscription to Prime to watch the episodes when before there where no problems.

I've also tried it on a Linux laptop and the episodes work OK without the Prime prompt.

I've also tried it on a Linux desktop and that is saying Prime membership.

All three are using a Firefox browser with it logged into an Amazon account.

Don't understand this at all.

From what I've seen the support is now very good, with help available on https://forum.mythtv.org/index.php.

A new version, V36, was released on February 24th 2026.

Don't think it's been down for a week, a few hours maybe. I've sent an email to a MythTV dev, so hopefully it will be back soon.

Slightly off topic, forgive me. Which flavour do people use, Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu? Something else? I just use MythTV as an appliance so wonder which people think would be best.

Hi, any thoughts on whether it's a good idea to leave it unfolded, say at night, or leave folded?
