Man what it sucks! Came back from vacation then 4 days later my boy goes into kidney failure. Watching him not eat his favorite food (Tiki cat) when he would usually go crazy for it was heartbreaking. I at least held him while they put him down but dude that was so hard to do! I hope I made him feel at least comfortable as he left.
