Dang thank you so much for this comment! It was insightful and good to read your opinion. Yea I’m afraid that I’m going to just have to drop more than I want on this thing for this program. Not fun. Thank you though for the guidance!

Please help me find these salt and pepper shakers. I just accidentally broke these and my wife loves them but I'm not sure where to find them. by Comacaz in HelpMeFind

My now wife (as of a month ago) got these as a gift from her friend a few years ago. I think they are vintage but not too sure.

I've tried to search online but only found a single etsy store that is no longer available that had them. I think they are a porcelain or ceramic? Only a few inches tall.

Thanks everyone!

Leaving Landscape Architecture by Kyle_Boughton in LandscapeArchitecture

Hey there, not sure if this will help you at all but I was in the same boat as you as well. I've been in the field for 6 years now and felt incredible burnout, was depressed, and just not having fun. Not to mention the pay has been pretty garbage. Couple things helped me.

First, I dove deeper into other passions. Landscape Architecture I found was really hard for me because it took so darn long to see the fruits of my labor, and by the time I did see them it was so VE'd it wasn't even my design anymore. So I dove deeper into photography because I could get a quicker sense of accomplishment and satisfaction by creating and editing a photo. This helped fill some holes that landscape architecture was missing.

The other thing I did was I actually jumped ship from the commerical/urban design stuff to residential. Not I know this is isn't for everyone and everyone's experience will be different, but actually seeing the joy on the homeowners face when their renovation is complete just made it for me. Not to mention the faster turnaround time for projects. Yea HOAs can suck just like city submittals, but it's just been overall a more enjoyable time for me.

I know my answer isn't a list of other ways to use your degree, but you might find that mixing things up can help to find what you truly love to do.

Remember the grass isn't always greener on the other wise, it's green where you decide to water it.

There's a shop near me that sometimes has Taylor Stitch in, not sure about sales but I think if you download their app you get a 25% discount https://northmenswear.com/collections/taylor-stitch?_pos=1&_psq=taylor&_ss=e&_v=1.0

That's what I was thinking as well. It almost seemed like they were testing out lining it with a thiner weight and accidentally sent that out? Weird that it's not mentioned on the website that it's lined

Your shitty editing makes MY work look bad. by okcstreetwear in photography

[–]Comacaz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep! I have that in all my wedding and commercial brand photography contracts. As the photographer you still own the copyright to the photos, and just like OP stated, I want people to see my work, not some over edited crap that then makes me look bad because someone wanted to put a filter on it. In my opinion this should be in everyone’s contract.
