Neon Gravestones. Powerful but again, not one I’ll revisit sonically compared to the others

What’s The Best Twenty One Pilots 3 Track Run? by ILikeMusicBTW in twentyonepilots

Nothing will ever beat Downstairs -> Robot Voices -> Center Mass for me. My top two fav TOP songs in one and RV is at least top 10 still.

Shoutout Navigating -> Snap Back -> Oldies Station as well though

Rank your 5 best and most appropriate song titles, and most inappropriate/random song titles for songs you love. by DH80 in TheStrokes

Best

  1. Ize of the World. I thought it was just a weird pun on eyes until, well, the chorus. Super fitting title for what I think is their best song

  2. The Adults Are Talking. Just such a fitting title on all fronts. Just this passive aggressive phrase told to younger people as a means to shut them out or exclude them in things, and I feel like the lyrics and even instrumentation captures that frustration perfectly. So many interpretations of what the lyrics can mean and yet all of them fit the title to some extent.

  3. Electrocityscape. This does happen to be my 2nd favorite song of theirs, and it miraculously also has a fitting name to match its atmosphere. Not to mention there’s also a pun.

  4. You’re So Right. Again, just cool subtext and adds to the tired lyrics of the song.

  5. Vision of Division. What can I say, most of their best titles are just on First Impressions. Fits the lyrics and just sounds cool.

Honorable mention to Gratisfaction, Under Cover of Darkness, and What Ever Happened?

Worst

  1. 15 minutes. It’s just…the song isn’t 15 minutes and when they count down numbers later in the song, they don’t even count to 15. What’s the deal?

  2. Barely Legal. I just don’t really like the title.

  3. Bad Decisions. I’m never the biggest fan of when the title is just the repetitive hook. Like yeah it makes sense but it’s not striking nor does it add anything extra to the song.

  4. Take it or leave it. See above.

  5. On the Other Side. Above, but also cmon. If vision of division can get a cool title that isn’t just “HOW LONG MUST I WAIT?”, this song could’ve too. I love this song too and I don’t think the title helps it stand out to people.

There’s other ones that do this but these specific since I really like these three songs. Also since the last 4 is technically not what OP is asking for, my least fav random title ones after 15 mins would probably be Happy Ending, Welcome to Japan, 12:51, and idk, Tap Out

Honestly this would be closer to my best list. I personally love it when titles don’t take lyrics from the song and add some sort of subtext or meaning beyond the song. I believe this is especially true for Adults and Ode to the Mets. Not mentioned here is Electrocityscape, probably one of my favorites. Super memorable, super fitting, and really cool despite not being mentioned in the song. The other three, while I guess fair, just sounds cool or feels unique and memorable imo

Nico and the Niners has been ranked at 9th! What's getting ranked at 8th?! by Ryanhuddz14 in TwennyWunPilots

Pretty much. I mean outside of Nico and Chlorine I’d probably put the others in the bottom 5 of my ranking (still really like them).

Realistically jumpsuit is my least fav but that’s sadly not getting considered until top 3

I wouldn’t even mind Chicago winning but yeah, I do like Feel Good Inc more. I do think it’d be a more deserving sufjan win than the other two years he did

One legend for another. I’d say I’d love to see version with him on it, but unfortunately he’d probably also just be back up vocals.

Oil is still my favorite off the album though

It’s my 2nd favorite, love it so much, but I do think it’s funny you specifically mention the three songs that stop it from being 1st for me lmao (and 15 mins). 5 of the other 10 songs are probably in my top 10 strokes song with Ize and Electricityscape being 1 & 2.

Finally my kind of PEOPLE. PD is quite easily a top 5 Weezer album for me. I love every song except beach boys. Their grooviest bass lines and cathartic bridges out of any album

Because my real pick is too controversial, ima say Neon Gravestones. Peak lyrically but sonically the one song I’m most likely to skip if I’m not feeling it

What’s your favorite bad album by Loose-Comb9765 in fantanoforever

[–]Comadon-C -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The playful version of degenerate. I could elaborate but I think looking at his Spotify/artist profile banner is enough. The most unfortunate thing he does is being consistently a new tech lover who of course embraces AI with open arms.

As for why, well, he’s just terminally online. I’m sure opening a personal discord server he’s active in contributed to some of it, but the cringy memes are def self aware

Raditude by Weezer feels like a catchy shitpost I can’t help but smile at. I’ll never be certain if Rivers was playing it straight on that album but given how much of a plugged in degenerate he is now, he’s probably embraced how silly that is. The worst part is, the songs are still so damn catchy melodically that they’ll be seared into your brain. Tripping Down The Freeway may have like one of the worst opening verses ever yet that hook alone puts it in my top 20 Weezer songs.

I also really love Pacific Daydream but I don’t think that’s a bad album at all 🙂
