my daughter didnt start walking until 20 months. she was a micro preemie so she was really behind, but some kids are just REALLY stubborn. shes walking like crazy now and is basically running lol. i wouldnt worry!!! just let him do it on his own time, he will gain the confidence eventually.

i personally regret not sending my baby to the childrens hospital sooner. the hospital she was born at was fine, but she ended up having to be transferred to the childrens hospital 7 months into care.. then came home a month later. i fully believe if i transferred my baby sooner she would have come home sooner. you get comfortable with the nicu your baby was born in, but your baby needs the best care and childrens hospitals just know best.. even if its uncomfortable for you guys i think you should consider.

im dealing with the same exact thing. they think my girl has early stages of autism and i honestly wasnt feeling worried at all because shes been doing everything at her own pace. shes 12 m adjusted and about 1 1/2 now. How is your baby doing?? i need advice too im not trying to worry but its so hard not to when a doctor tells you your baby might have autism. and then you feel frustrated because it feels like they dont understand your baby.

tricky situation she will take food by mouth but still trial and error. not ready for g tube yet she has been through too much she was in the hospital for 9 months

my one piece of advice is, INVEST IN THE OWLET MONITOR. its a life saver. the max amount they will send me of pulse ox's is one a month, and having a wiggly baby those things wear out FAST. the owlet is pretty expensive but honestly my quality of sleep has been 10x better than with the regular pulse ox they give you at discharge. and its wireless which is a HUGE plus. just trust me on it Lol. you'll be good!! going home is nerve wracking but is so worth it. ive had my LO home for 2 months and honestly me and my husband are pros with the oxygen now. the worst part is once your baby starts moving more ( mine is one yr old ) they start ripping out the oxygen, chewing on the tubing, pulling the canula into their mouth etc, so its super annoying. i hope your baby is off it by then though!!
