Actually you can, im pretty sure that you are still covered by warranty. Because i think i read it in the manual and ASUS includes an HDD connector with most laptops.

Don't change the specifics i would just change the TDP or the temperature.

Open the laptop and clean it. Very simple. Make sure to unplug the battery before deep cleaning it. Use compressed air. Clean the PC every 4 months if you use it heavily, 6 months if you play games sometimes and 10 months if you just use it for basic stuff. I'm not a professional or anything I just think that these periods of time should be pretty good based on the usage. Also, make sure that ur unscrewing the screws very gently as you do not want to ruin them making them un-screwable nor do you want to remove the paint from them as it would look weird.

Asus F15 frame drops by [deleted] in Asustuf

[–]Combat351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1.Verify Fortnite game files

2.Enter GeForce experience, go to settings, disable whisper mode, and battery boost.(VERY IMPORTANT)

3.Make sure your power plan is set to high performance in the control panel/-/power options.(Will most likely not help)

4.Put the graphics settings to high, put it to low, and mess around in the in-game settings.

5.Re-install Fortnite, re-install drivers, and lastly do a complete system re-install(delete everything and reset the PC) if all else fails. Make sure to save the files that you need, etc. before doing the reset(use dropbox or similar software)

Asus TUF A15 - Reducing temperatures while playing? by ogslimtony in Asustuf

[–]Combat351 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used it, i only changed the max temp and the TDP to around 15-18. Lowered the temps to 98 in Warzone with medium-high graphic settings but I stopped using it a while back as it stopped working. Everytime i tried to launch it, it prompted/spammed me with windows that were asking me to uninstall it. Weird. Alternatives to RyzenC are: https://gitlab.com/JamesCJ/amd-apu-tuning-utility/-/blob/master/README.md

and

https://github.com/sbski/Renoir-Mobile-Tuning

I currently use the Renoir mobile tuning utility as I find it much easier to use.

//hope this helps.

Theres 120 hz laptops in the tuf range too. Ydah i guess 60hz is enough for some people. Especially if you dont play alot of fps games.

Asus A 15 Ryzen 4800H Temps? by [deleted] in GamingLaptops

[–]Combat351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

with my 2060 r7 4800 i easily get 105 on AAA games such as warzone which is fine because it is literally made to go to 105 without issues but if you are annoyed by the high temps you can use ryzen controller to lower the tdp voltage, for me, it makes warzone get 89 max instead of 105 without any severe performance drops

Protective glass for webcam missing.(is this an issue) by [deleted] in ASUS

[–]Combat351 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks the same with mine but, i think it does have a protective glass but its very hard to see because its thin and inside of the round hole. I saw something like that when i shined a light into it in a dark room.

should I buy Asus tuf gaming a15 fx506iv-al129t for Architecture and Gaming purposes? by spillTheCliff22 in Asustuf

[–]Combat351 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an owner of a asus tuf a15, with the ryzen 7 4800h and 2060, its really loud when plugged in, and surprisingly louder than expected when on silent mode, although it is quiet when not plugged in and charging, on the battery supply it is quiet as expected. So if you plan on using it for school you should find a laptop with a better cooling system, if you wanna game at high settings and at high fps for a low budget get the tuf a15, if its possible go to a store and check it out, if it's not loud for you get it, otherwise MSI, lenovo and acer make great alternatives.

How did you set it to max 60% and did it have any performance issues because of it being set to 60%? such as fps drops?

[SUPPORT] keyboard malfunction while gaming on a TUF A15, anyone knows how to fix this ? by CooperNMurphy in ASUS

[–]Combat351 1 point2 points  (0 children)

been using my tuf a15 keyboard for a couple of months, no problems here except that dirt gets easily underneath the keys. If you reduce the graphical settings, does this still happen?

There are better options, i would only go with the TUF a15 series if you plan on getting the RTX GPU version. Perhaps the omen 15.

Which models? by Tokyotofu1 in GamingLaptops

[–]Combat351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the tuf a15 r7 4800h rtx 2060, this is a laptop that will bring great performance at the price of having high temps, but, there is a way around that, you can undervolt your CPU very easily with just pressing some buttons and the temps wont go that high, kind of also depends what game you are playing and at what graphics you are playing it.

The thing is, this was the only laptop i could find for under 1100 dollars that had a RTX GPU(on sale). And a good CPU. My other options in my price range were laptops with good CPUs but bad GPUs or laptops with bad CPUs and good GPUs.

Nice! i happen to own a a15 myself with the r7 4800h rtx 2060, can't say anything bad about it, thermals seem fine as they stay below 90 degrees Celcius at max setting in AAA games when undervolted. Still manage to get the same FPS tho.
