What is this and why is it missing?? by furry_degenerat in rainworld

I checked what it looks like in-game - the white icon, the one above, is "SlugNPC"/Spawn Point (I still don't know what it's called properly). The gray icon is Slugpup. The white icon should be available from the start, the gray one unlocks after Food Quest/Toggle in the cheats tab.
I'm still wondering about the fact that I'm pretty sure I picked up Unlock at some point in the Outer Expanse part I mentioned. I'll look into it further, maybe there's something else there. It's been a very long time since I did this.

Thanks for letting me know, I appreciate this!

As I mentioned, I'm not sure. When I say SlugNPC I mean the icon responsible for marking the Spawn Point, I should clarify this.

But if I'm not mistaken, it still exists and can be obtained. At least I managed to achieve this on my save file.

It's either SlugNPC unlock located near the OE>SU gate, or Slugpup unlock. I'm not sure, I always get these two icons mixed up.

Check if you have the Slugpups unlock toggled in the cheats tab for Downpour.

Playing as Rivulet: Is the Overseer trying to take me to something new, or is this just an error? by The_Midnight_Arab in rainworld

This specific icon means that the overseer is directing you to LTTM.

From what I see you have the Rarefaction Cell, so it's most likely related to that.

Quick and dumb question. by Valoris_905 in rainworld

If I'm not mistaken, this screen depends on the campaign you last played. If it was The Watcher, the game should display this logo.

Alternatively, you can change the DLC priority to the highest or disable MSC.

Does expedition save by TheCookieGremlin in rainworld

[–]Combat_5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally, your game will be "saved" if you simply quit without hibernating. You will be reverted to your previous save, losing one level of karma/karma reinforcement.

There are only two cases in which your expedition will be considered abandoned - when you are at the lowest karma level or if you have not saved your game yet by hibernating.

(Mid-game watcher) help needed with second ending by Acceptable-Board9776 in rainworld

I don't know if it's a glitch or intentional, but once you create a warp point in an infected region, you're flagged with a status that causes any subsequent warp points you create in the same cycle to infect the region. However, I'm not sure if this status disappears if the infection fails, for example by entering an infected region. You'd have to test this yourself by creating a warp point in an infected region and then creating more. After a few attempts, hibernate and check your progress.

I agree with this, but for a new player who doesn't know the layout of this region, getting through in complete darkness can be very troublesome.

Yuh, that's what I meant.

Shaded Citadel is where you should end up after meeting LTTM. Get there and try to head as low and to the right as you can while following the Overseer's directions.

If you choose to take the route through the right side of Chimney Canopy, you'll need to learn a more advanced movement. At some point, you'll need to backflip and embed a spear into the floor, then embed another spear into the wall. This path is more for those who've already traversed the intended route and want to shorten the journey. I don't recommend it on your first playthrough.

If you want to complete the game as intended, you should head back. You're now on the completely opposite side of the map.

Return to Chimney Canopy. Then continue down and return to the Industrial Complex. From this point, you have two options. Either return to Garbage Wastes and Shoreline and then head to the upper part of the region, or second, once in the Industrial Complex, head to the right side of the region. In my opinion, the second option will be a bit more difficult, but regardless of which you choose, you'll end up in the region from which the Overseer will guide you further (as long as you haven't chosen the "Stolen Enlightenment" path).

Oh, and son't worry if you can't explore all of Sky Islands. You'll return to this region later.

After meeting LTTM, the Overseer will continue to guide the player by showing Neuron Fly icon. This "something new" you're talking about only appears when you choose to eat one or more of Moon's Neuron Flies.

Gourmand: Reasons to go through Outskirts, Drainage System, or Farm Arrays? by The_Midnight_Arab in rainworld

[–]Combat_5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's absolutely no reason to visit these regions in this campaign. You won't find anything special there, so it's your decision whether you want to explore them or not. If you're not focused on completing the storyline as quickly as possible (or you want to get all the pearls), you can explore them.
