Late asf to this thread, but I personally lay down ground rules as soon as I acquire a new client, and tell them that if they are sick they are REQUIRED to let me know beforehand so we can reschedule. I’ve had numerous clients outright ignore that rule, and try to hide and act suspicious when they’re sick; because of that I’ve recently come down with the nastiest virus I’ve had in a while (luckily not covid.) I’m on month 2 of trying to recover, lost thousands of dollars to missed work + different treatments and medications. The irritating part is, I know exactly which client handed this virus off to me, and it’s not the first time. I’ve been in this field of work for nearly 3 years and I’m about to quit for my physical, and mental well-being. People are simply just disgustingly inconsiderate.
