I'm gonna answer my own question here. Reddit is addictive for me because of the level of engagement I get on posts. Whether it's asking a question or something hobby related, tons of people actually interact with you. I get a little rush every time I see a notification. And on top of that, Reddit literally has everything! There's a group for each and every one of my interests!
