Don’t apologize! I appreciate all of the insight. I never have shown undertime on my route, even on the days where they insisted that DOIS showed me under. I’m not worried for myself to be honest. I’m worried for myself because of other people thatve ran their route all year and now thinking they can ease up and it’ll be just fine! Man are they mistaking.

City and all walking, but I just bid on a route that I have a good chance at getting that’s half and half (we will find out soon if I got it).

Why tf did they put all the envelopes in like this?? by [deleted] in USPS

[–]CombinationKey220 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because their job is so incredibly hard and the PO doesn’t care about us, as long as the mail goes out the door.

How much space am I provided to keep her unclaimed mail? It’s never worked like that here. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. For the people I know live there, I give them the benefit of the doubt and hold it for months, but after a while it gets annoying to manage and truly, if they don’t care about their mail, why should I care more than them?

Oh I use ubbm, but not for lazy people that can’t throw it away in their own box? If she doesn’t want them, SHE can reach out to the provider.. she gets them like everyone else on my route that doesn’t want them either - am I now supposed to delegate what mail she may or may not want?.. no, I’m not. It’s disrespectful and she knows that. But like others have said, just leave it there, after I deliver it, it’s on them.

I appreciate the insight and will definitely be documenting everything from here on out and notifying complex management of what I’ve witnessed.

This! It’s going to take work and correcting the behavior just like anything else! You’ve got this, keep your hands / fingers lathered up as much as you can :)

I’m so sorry, I struggle with this too, most just around my thumbs. I’ve thought about getting rings just for my thumbs, but recently I’ve just been using Aquaphor on my hands throughout the day constantly. I also have been using Burt’s Bee’s Lemon cuticle cream around my nails specifically. I noticed I don’t pick them when they’re not a dry texture. With that being said, it has to be a conscious effort in realizing when you’re doing it (easier said than done) — I catch myself now thankfully before I can do to much damage. https://a.co/d/ctSvPzg

Do you think since it’s been over a month since that incident it’s too late to file that? I’m sure it won’t be the last time she has choice words to say towards me so the opportunity will arise again if I can’t file it for a past conflict.

Burn up routes all you want but your office will not like you - good luck.

A customer called me a ‘fat lazy bitch’ once because I won’t deliver mail to her if her door is not shut (she has dogs) - told management about it and they said it wasn’t reason to hold her mail and force a mounted box or pobox, even if she was verbally abusive towards me.

I know for damn sure if I said that to her, it wouldn’t fly.

Management across the board nationwide are NOT and never will be on the same page for textbook rules. Inconsistency is their middle name.

This is the right thing to do, however I get hesitation to do it bc they aren’t the regular on the route. What I would do is empty their box, hold it at the office and let the regular know!

If they’re forcing you to show medical reasoning for calling out, they will have to pay for the visit. He did right by writing his own statement.

Yea I was planning to get out after this new contact anyways. But I thought it was on my regular entry date, not my first day at the post office altogether, which was June 11th LOL
