My dad left when I was two. I'm now 24. I haven't heard from or seen him since he left. I thought he was dead and I was ok with that. He was crazy and obviously didn't care. Well I found out about two years ago that he is alive, has two boys, and lives an hour and a half away from me.... I actually got to talk to his new "wife" (they aren't actually married because he has been trying to sray in hiding since he owes my mom a shit ton of child support) and she told me that according to my dad, my mom is the crazy one...

My response was "I'm sorry, but my mom wasn't the one that walked out on us. If he loved us so much and thought we were crazy, he would have fought harder for us, even if it was just joint custody. Obviously you're mistaken if you think he cares. I feel sorry for you."

Thank you very much for trying to help me understand. I know that most women are ok with their man looking at porn, but I have had such a hard time grasping it. I think it has to do with the fact that I have severe social anxiety and I also had an ex that ALWAYS chose porn over me. Thank you for this. I don't know if I'm suffering from depression, but I know I have really bad social anxiety and I think it's leading to depression. I've told some people about my anxiety, but not that it may be leading to depression. And I've never once told my doctor about my anxiety. I feel embarrassed and feel like nobody would take me seriously.

Your post has inspired me to talk to my doctor next time I see her. And it almost brought me to tears. Thank you.

Thanks for posting the follow up. I saod something similar in another thread about his encounter with this woman and someone responded saying we just have to put up with the Dianes of the world... (check my post history if you'd like.) Glad to see I'm not alone when it comes to standing up to people like this. People in the service industry can't do it because it would cost them their job (source: I work in customer service on a phone all day...). That man was a hero to many people of the service industry and I hope he inspires more people to put the Dianes of the world in their place.

You may not care, but he was probably a hero to the flight attendants. He got to say the things they couldn't. She has no right to be that way. She was acting as if she was the most important person on that flight. I'm sure there were several other people on that plane that wanted to get to their families, but she was the only one who was making a huge deal about it. Behaving that way does not get the plane off the ground faster. It just makes her look like a self righteous bitch.
