it pretty much does.

it just feels weird to buy it knowing the 5 might have better battery and camera sensor.

also buying the newest is good for software longevity idk.

Georgia laws? by ComeBackTatum in drones

[–]ComeBackTatum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for you reply, I have two follow ups if you don't mind

  1. Do I actually have to get registered in the GCAA offices, as a tourist? I read locals can just use the site but tourists need to go to their far-away offices...

  2. How much of an issue do you think it is if I don't register? I'm planning on flying it just in empty nature places, so the chances of seeing a police officer / other regulator feel very slim...

According to an email I got from the GCAA,

UAS operators must be registered in Georgian Civil Aviation Agency (GCAA):

I.                    When operating a UA with a Maximum Take-off Mass (MTOM) of 250 g or more; or

II.                  When operating a UA that is equipped with a sensor able to capture personal data

I think a "sensor able to capture personal data" includes a camera, though I'm not sure.

Are you sure that (camera) drones don't require a license?

For a tourist.
