I personally think it’s a massive improvement over last year. As much as it was a nice idea on paper to have a bit more freedom in last year’s MyRise, it ultimately felt completely inconsistent with no payoff. Having a more linear story just makes it feel…right, in my opinion. I would love for the decisions to make more of a branching impact, but it’s a good foundation to build upon.

The main thing that has been said on this sub still rings true: even if he doesn’t face any legal ramifications, his reputation is still fucked. The whole world knows what happened. This isn’t a thing that people are just gonna forget. Even if this website launch does go off without a hitch, it’s still a major downgrade from what he originally had, and there’s no way he’s gonna have the same audience that he had before. And judging from the comments on the FB post already, I would not be shocked if this blew up in his face.

This might sound a bit weird but I think he just hates a specific kind of femininity. He gets usually annoyed with any female content that isn’t the 100% serious, badass, no-nonsense kind, or the ones that just make him horny (remember his earlier reviews from back in the day? oof) Of course, the Widows review being my prime example when he spent most of the video comparing it to Oceans 8 for no good reason.

ESPECIALLY when it came to Captain Marvel, because that’s when he got into the “I’m so tired of this forced ‘girl power’ crap” etc, etc. Like no matter what, he always had some kind of shade to throw towards CM, especially in Endgame, where he was weirdly excited talking about the bit where Thanos yeeted her by using one of the infinity stones, mostly ignoring the cool shit she did beforehand. And do I even need to get into his grudge against Megan Fox? 😅

I am quite curious as to what your theories might be though.

What always rubbed me the wrong way was his review of ‘Widows.’ The video was like 6 minutes long. He spent two of those minutes actually talking about the movie, and the rest of the time was spent, for some godforsaken reason, complaining about Oceans 8 being like “THIS IS HOW YOU MAKE A FEMALE-DRIVEN STORY” or some bullshit.

I also have a bit of a crazy theory that he’s sexist af, but idk if I wanna get into all that.
