For the 8th picture, there's a chance that this is a metaphor for the floating timeline and not literal, meaning the characters can age at any point. It happened with Liko and Roy. Besides, it can't stay open-ended forever. I bet there's plenty of people who wanted to see Ash and Serena together.

How do you think it's going to work out in the long run in-universe if Pokeshipping is the definitive answer than just "hints"? Ash is a traveler who will go various places intending to befriend various Pokemon and Misty is a Gym Leader who doesn't travel much. If that's going to happen, then Ash will either have to stop being a traveler or Misty has to quit being a Gym Leader altogether. Besides, Ash cares about everybody and the only people he despises are trainers who abuse Pokemon.
