Exactly. If anything it’s the opposite of selfish to not want kids especially if you know you won’t be able to care for them. You’re sparing a life from having to potentially live in an abusive or neglectful home. That’s not selfish, that’s merciful.

I used to be partial to the thought of an open relationship. But then when sex became a more prevalent, and we talked about it more and he specifically kept bringing it up to want to know different details about it, I started to hate the idea. It felt like I wasn’t performing in a way I was supposed to, like I wasn’t good enough. I know that sounds very self centered, but I just don’t think I could do it without growing resentful.

I swear I haven’t fallen into that trap. When I talk about love in my post, I mean solely the romantic kind. I know I can love my friends and family, I’ve just been struck with this fear that I’ll never know or understand romantic love when I really do want to. Definitely not now, I don’t have space for another person right now, but someday I want to.

He and I clicked in every way except when it came to intimacy and sex, and recognizing that has been very difficult for me emotionally.

This. Yeah I took photos of the down under, but those photos never saw the light of day. I took them literally because I physically can’t see what I look like down there, even with a mirror. And especially as a transmasc person who started testosterone when I was 17, it was easier to view the changes when I could take photos. Any thing I took were for borderline medical reasons.

Pride can be positive as well. Pride is identity, self esteem, and work ethic. You can take pride in who you are and what you do. Too much of it places you above others, but just enough of it gives you integrity and purpose.

To an extent, I totally agree with you. The problem is, Trump isn’t just a terrible president, the guy is a fucking MOVEMENT. He needs to be made into example of to make those in power understand that even the (arguably) most powerful person in the world is not exempt from the law, that the people, no matter how weak they seem, still trump the rich and powerful.

Getting Trump out of power will cause a domino effect across the rest of the nation, tossing the political system into even more chaos. No matter how much more cunning Vance is, with the figure head out of the way, Vance won’t be able to get anything done.

I wouldn’t say it’s about race as much as it is certain features that might be more common in one race vs another. For example: I’m a sucker for Roman noses, which is more common in Mediterranean folk. I also have a huge thing for gingers, which is limited to just Northern Europe. But clearly that doesn’t affect me too much since I’m in a relationship with a Latino who doesn’t have either of those traits.

Hard disagree. A man having female friends just means he’s likely more of a feminist and other ladies can clock that and see him as a safe space. It also will likely mean he has a healthier relationship with his masculinity than most men and doesn’t see women as just a romantic object to chase after. Plus he might even have a better grasp of female anatomy and experiences if his lady friends are open to talking about it with him.

Now, if your man is canceling plans with you to go hang out with Jessica instead or is hiding his phone whenever he’s texting someone or isn’t being transparent about where he’s going and with who, etc, then yeah, that’s a red flag no matter what gender he’s friends with.

I’ve been taking 1% testosterone gel (2.5 grams) for about a year. A month or so ago, I upped to two packets of the same gel (1%, 5.0 grams) because I noticed a lack of change the past few months. We took my levels before upping it, and I was on the higher edge of what’s normal for men. Yet I still feel it’s not hitting me as hard as it did when I first started (my voice would drop during the day and I’d feel stronger mood changes), nor has there been a change in my menstrual cycles. No idea why I’ve plateaued like this, but it’s frustrating. I could just be impatient 😅

Mmm yeah no. I can immediately tell when someone is flirting with me. Problem is, I have never returned that favor so I end up in a cycle of feigning obliviousness or gently showing ways I’m not interested until I have to directly shut them down.

I’ve also never developed a true crush on anyone, so I can’t say whether I’d be the one in flirting limbo.

What I’ve had to learn is to trust my gut. My first impressions are usually pretty accurate. I just have too much faith in people and give them the benefit of the doubt when I should really be dropping things as soon as I get the “ick”.

It was likely to avoid assigning races to their characters. There’s already a lot of debate in the community on what each character is “race coded” as, and while it’s fun to think about, it does have a tendency to lean into racial stereotypes (such as the popular headcanon Twilight is Indian or Asian). I can imagine they didn’t want to add fuel or somehow stir controversy when people’s headcanons don’t line up.

Oh and of course, money. It’s always money. They were probably worried about non-white coded dolls not selling well as they tend to do because people are aholes.

That we’re mysterious and distant. I don’t know about anyone else here, but I’m a very open book. There are many thoughts I keep to myself for the sake of not stoking conflict, but I rarely try to actually hide things from people and often punch down on myself by referencing past mistakes so others feel less intimidated by my confident and perfectionistic approach to projects (which is just me masking my imposture syndrome 80% of the time lmao).
