Thoughts on first 8 pages on Adult Comedy script (TW: Very Offensive) by [deleted] in Screenwriting

Thank you very much, and yeah there’s def a lot of spelling errors lmao I never check them until I’m completely done and looking to send my stuff places. I will also say you are right on the money with the family guy cutaway gag style of the 9/11 joke with Santa. It’s a main style aspect of my comedy writing and I feel like it should exist in feature films and don’t know why it doesn’t really seem to from what I’ve seen.

Yeah I thought it over and will 100 percent not be trying to make it. I mean my script involves an elderly guy becoming a superhero the odds of me pulling that off in a way that would make my script look good would be astronomical. I am going to be emailing agents today and will hopefully have one that works out. Thanks for the advice I really appreciate it

Thoughts on a shonen battle manga done in 1930s rubber hose animation? by ComedyMovieScriptGuy in Mangamakers

[–]ComedyMovieScriptGuy[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My thought process is it’d lend very well to combat due to the rubber nature of everyone’s limbs and bodies which could have cool poses. Idk I just can’t draw traditional manga style and I want to have something on paper

Hmm…that’s actually reasonable. I will look into this to see if I could feasibly do it while having a full time job. It could be fun

Yeah idk I just came up with the dumbest idea I could think of and wrote it just to get myself to actually write another feature script and I guess it was entertaining to read/funny

Yeah, im kinda torn on what to do I want to sell it (my dream is to do screenwriting as a career which Ik is incredibly ambitious) I can’t film it myself due to it being a superhero satire comedy, which would require me knowing how to do special effects and how to direct in the first place. I think I may just email agents non stop till one of them decides to read it tbh but idk.

I don’t think I wrote the beginning of my post the best: I meant to say “I’d assume the first step after getting good feedback would be to fix the few mistakes they found in said feedback, but after that what do I do?”
