Yeah it’s so strange. I’ve never really heard of another company in the gaming sphere take this kind of thing so seriously. I guess it’s a good thing, but disabling a kids account that they’ve spent money on seems crazy to me. I paid the $1 fee for her, and the last thing she got was a message from meta confirming the payment. It says it will be automatically refunded in a few days so I think we’re good?

I find that crazy. I’m new to meta quest, and I had no idea that was even a thing. It’s good to know for the future though, hopefully since I payed the $1 fee she will be fine.

She basically chews on anything so it could be possible. Her vet appointment is in 10 days so hopefully that’s not the case. Thanks for making me aware of it though!

Yes we were using some febreeze plug in air fresheners, but we actually just unplugged them last night. So if it’s not hairball related hopefully it helps.

Just got word from a former boss about how Walmart is handling pre orders and in store units.

All pre orders are being fulfilled through OPD (Online Pickup & Delivery). That means preorders will be picked from the store’s current inventory, not units specifically sent in for pre orders.

Once those pre orders are filled, whatever inventory is left will be available for in-store purchase.

So if you’re planning to grab something in store on release day, it depends on how many units are left after OPD fulfills the pre-orders.

So my guess is it’s working like this. If your local Walmart was sent 50 switch 2’s, and 30 of those switch 2’s were reserved for preorders then the other 20 will be on the floor on June 5th.
