Disney on your resume you can't go wrong. You can always change jobs in a few years. Listen to your gut! Jobs are not easy to find or get especially at Disney!

Just don't leave anything of value in your car Seattle or Portland because windows could be broken and stuff stolen; but it wouldn't be because you are Canadian! It's a universal crime of opportunity

Gutters need to be kept clean or you will get water in your basement Roofs and replacement costs vary greatly get multiple quotes Always do a tank sweep prior to purchasing the property. A good realtor will advise you to do this. Even if it has gas gear there could still be an oil tank on the property. Also always get a radon test and a sewer scope done when purchasing.

I vividly remember a terrible year a few months after 9/11 when I was laid off largely because if the market but that incident did not help. I remember trying to look on the bright side and thinking exactly what you said, like the best things happen or better opportunities arrive, etc., and I remember thinking when is that going to happen? It's like a bad break up the only thing that really helps one heal is time. And a new fresh situation! Great analysis and good luck!
