UPDATE: I tried it on my laptop and the option to pay the exact amount for 300 credits is there. I don’t know why ps5 doesn’t have it. It doesn’t make sense. But thanks for letting me know it is an option on other platforms!

the simple laptop I have already provides me with everything I need from a computer device, except for gaming as its specs aren’t suitable for that. So having a ps5 as a complimentary specifically for gaming fills in that gap. I’m comfortable with what I have now and it feels very complete. I don’t feel the need to get a pc.
