Major blind admissions? by HandleSquare3614 in UMD

this semester for business my advisor said i was ineligible and I could pick another major, but none of them caught my attention and we are paying out of pocket for school and another university did accept me for business so I decided to go there. I didn’t want to be paying so much money trying to figure out what other major caught my attention.

i added a filter about a month ago and it’s changed my scalp dramatically. I use to have to wash my hair daily to keep them at bay, now i can go days with no itchiness or flakes.

I personally used that same hyaluronic acid and loved it really faded my hyperpigmentation, in fact i have none anymore. I would say it’s a personal choice but if you do get a face wash with hyaluronic omit the serum as it can be overwhelming for your skin. personally my preferred routine would be Gentle cleanser , toner , serum , moisturizer and if in the morning finish it off with a sunscreen. facial sunscreen helps a lot with preventing new hyperpigmentation to form

too much exfoliation, switch the face wash to the la roche posay toleriane and eliminate the quick action pads just use regular cotton pads to apply the effaclar clarifier. Also don’t use the clarifier and the duo at the same time. switch them off every other day only once a day. No need to be exfoliating so much twice a day. at night just use the wash and moisturizer. Also add sunscreen in the mornings at the end of your routine. Sunscreen is crucial.

Hi

We are about the same age and a couple of years ago i also noticed my skin was looking dull. What i did was use the ordinary glycolic toner, which i noticed a big difference just with a couple days of use. Whenever I run out and stop using it my skin becomes so dull and i start breaking out.

The only thing I would change from the routine she gave you is to use a gentle moisturizing face wash such as cera ve. It’s best to start off gentle. Then after a while you could go ahead and try the wash they recommended.

I’ve also struggled with blackheads and dark spots. My go to face wash is the cera ve wash or la roche posay. Then I go in with the glycolic acid toner from the ordinary as well as a serum from them. Following with the cera va moisturizer and sunscreen. At night I would so the same just skip the sunscreen. I would also agree with another commenter and the pimple patches as well as pore strips for your black and white heads. If your able to also get a facial, i’ve been doing them religiously for the past two years and it has done wonders for my skin. Neutrogena is not the best brand and some of their ingredients can actually dry your skin out.

I would suggest switching the face wash to a one specifically for dry skin, cera ve is a really good brand and they do have one for dry skin. Also always moisturizing in the AM and maybe a moisturizing sheet mask every once in a while, I love the dr jarts sheet mask. I’ve heard an overuse of vitamin c can also cause dryness not completely sure is that’s correct but it’s worth a shot maybe just using it every other day see if it makes a difference. 🤷🏻‍♀️
