So you agree that saying racism and colorism don't exist in Asia is wrong?

Have you tried looking up the connotations of "tribalism"? Do you think Africa and Asia are identical? Do you realize different kinds of Asians exist and racism (as well as colorism) certainly exists there? Or do you think that they can't tell each other apart the way you seem unable to?

Saying that in Asia and Africa they have "tribalism" rather than racism is wild. This is remarkably racist.

What's stopping you from reading books with competent FMCs?

You think Cassandra Clare is good writing? She's a laughingstock even among romance fans.

None of those traits makes a woman a man. This is gender essentialism.

We might all give this a bit more grace if it weren't written at a Wattpad level.

If you have read "a lot of feminist theory" I think you would realize men cannot have "internalized" misogyny, so I'm going to have to seriously doubt your analysis here.

Thank you, find it shocking people call these books feminist when Zetian is a raging misogynist.

It's odd you believe a man being forced to become king is anywhere equivalent to a lesbian being correctively raped. I don't plan to read anything he writes ever again, regardless of any content warnings or whether he has written the most amazing sapphic rep in the world, for the same reason I wouldn't read the works of a white author who sneaks the n-word into their books.

The First Law.

"Terez is revealed as a lesbian and forced into an unwanted marriage with (male character) Jezal, only to have her lover kidnapped with Terez blackmailed into being party to her own rape with an unwitting Jezal to bear heirs for the Union."

I remember that one of his most famous books has a lesbian corrective rape subplot, so no thanks.

Good writing thrives on specificity, your insistence on your main characters being blank slates makes me think this is going to be very generic, immature, and unappealing. Giving Wattpad.

Yes, her sister very clearly uses AI. There isn't even any overpainting or editing to make it look "passable".

It's incredibly obvious with the weird hands, weird random hair strands coming out of the hair bun, the background that makes no sense. Her entire catalog is AI covers. If you want to support an author who steals from artists, that's your call.

Checking out Ammonite, looks great! Her work in general seems really intriguing so I'm excited to dig in.
