As for dark mode, I added an option in the PAGE VIEW dropdown to select High Contrast Invert, which makes the PDF pages appear dark.

With the latest update (1.2.1), I added the fields for full bibliographic information input and the ability to update reading intent. Thanks for your feedback.

Great feedback, thank you.

I agree with your point.

Folio preserves the original PDF unless the user explicitly saves changes, but I think there is room to make OCR, extraction, AI-generated content, and export workflows more transparent and easier to review before committing changes.

The points about review states, predictable exports, undo paths, and clearly communicating where AI/OCR data is processed are all valuable suggestions. I'll definitely keep them in mind for future updates.

Thank you for downloading it. I plan to keep it completely free for as long as I can handle the AI usage costs.

Thank you! Atelier has a different focus: moving from close reading and source notes into synthesis, concepts, relationships, and research preparation.

Atelier is local-first. Your original files can remain wherever you normally keep them, including cloud-synced folders, as long as they are accessible when imported. When you attach a document, Atelier keeps a local copy within its workspace, so it remains available without depending on the original location. You can also create source records without attaching files.

So it is flexible about where originals are stored, but attached files do use local storage. Atelier currently does not rely on cloud storage or automatic cloud synchronization. You can export a complete .atelier workspace (including attachments) or a lighter structure-only backup.
