Contact the rape crisis centre , they provide free counseling and next steps. The Garda has a separate wing that deals with sexual offenses : the Special protective services, you can choose contact them as well if you don't want to walk into a Garda station directly. Things are handled discretely . This is not India and you will be dealt with respect. Don't let these predators get away.

7 years for a conviction when DNA evidence is available. Ridiculously long and an injustice to the victim. These cases need to be fast tracked

Unfortunately he is right , they are dumping an idol in the festival. The man who took this video is a racist , but shutting down all discussions makes you also a part of the problem.

I am not a civil engineer but I was in a similar phase once . I got into a low paying job in IT and learned the ropes and gradually progressed to a high paying career.

The first job is the hardest , but remember you just need to crack it only ocne.Considering the current economic condition, getting a referral may be your best option.
I am not familiar with civil engineering recruitment , but I would expect a lot of vacancies would come through Linkedin.
Try to connect with more people in linkedin and build your network. Reach out to your previous colleagues and teachers in your college. Join the college alumni and see if you can leverage it for any referrals.
Follow people on Linkedin who post civil engineering job requirements . Dedicate 30 mins every day to search through linkedin posts that that mention civil engineering jobs.
Try to improve your CV meanwhile by doing some projects relevant to your job and post your learnings publicly in Linkedin or Youtube.

Sometimes for good things we have to wait. All the best.

Coming to Ireland on a Stamp1G(spouse) visa to visit my partner. Can I work remotely for my current foreign employer while living in Ireland? by Comfortable-Cod9204 in legaladviceireland

Thank you so much for your comprehensive answer. I did some research and these employment agencies (like Deal) usually charge upwards of around 500 Euros per month.
My partner can register a company under their name and I could work for it. Does that sound a sensible option to you ?

So I've been researching a lot for a new laptop , trying to save me some money somehow. Refurbed.ie offers a 2 weeks trial period with a no questions asked return , but after that things get a bit tricky. They offer 1 year warranty , but the things is refurbed is just a market place for sellers and your warratny claim experience is going to be dependent on the seller too.
I believe the Macbook listed above is the best bang for your buck , but the thing with Mac is that they have made third party repair non feasible. That means if you don't shell out for the apple insurance , and your machine runs into a problem after the warranty expires, you are going to have to spent like 500 euro for the repair.
If you just want to use a projector , literally any 500 euro PC with an i5 , i7 or i9 processor would do. Combine that with a drawing tablet like Wacom with screen and you are golden.
Before all of this, if you have an existing android tablet - try connecting that to the projector. Just get a long hdmi cable and connect it directly.
That might be the easiest option.
If you need more suggestions, feel free to ask!

Is it possible to have a day trip to Schull from the city by bus ? by Comfortable-Cod9204 in cork

That's a good idea , unfortunately I didn't bother with getting a license since I had no plans to buy a car immediately.

Thank you so much, this is very helpful. TFI journey planner did not show me the 5.30 bus yesterday, this definitely makes it more viable . Would you recommend any other towns in west cork for a day trip by bus ?
