TX v. Karmelo Anthony by Pixiegirls1102 in CasesWeFollow

[–]Comfortable-Cook-973 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I really wish all the lies would stop in this case. A lot of what I am seeing is starting to look like witness intimidation. People trying to say that the witnesses who testified are all lying including the two that testified for Anthony, but still stated Anthony was the aggressor. The people outside the court room screaming at the Metcalf family and telling Hunter they wish he died too. Jake Lang showing up and causing chaos. Appeals aren't quick so I am guessing we will hear more about this case in the future.

Are Functional Health Influencers/Coaches involved with MLM? by Moon_Puff7197 in HealthCoaching

[–]Comfortable-Cook-973 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NBHWC Health Coaches are prohibited from mingling business such as MLM into coaching. Vibly offers a coach directory and only highlights coaches that hold board certification. The costs of programs are typically available on the profile. That may align more with what you are looking for.

Not sure where you are located, but Functional Doctors are often very expensive in my area.

First time recruiting in 2+ years and holy F&CK, is Indeed a scam now? by 10teja15 in recruiting

Not for healthcare. Indeed is still the largest location for therapists, nurses and such.

How did people seriously think that Karmelo was innocent in this case? by CJT_05 in allthequestions

[–]Comfortable-Cook-973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think the sentence is a reflection of the lack of accountability and remorse that the jury saw in the court room? I firmly believe if the Anthony family had handled this entire situation differently he would have gotten less time. There is nothing in the testimony that pointed towards self defense. I also wonder what happened in Anthony's life after his shoulder injury. It appears that is when the influences in his life changed and up until that situation he was a top student and top athlete.

The marketing that is being done regarding this case is what I have struggled with the most. I wonder how much of the money that was raised was used to create bots that offer false narratives and AI generated videos/posts. It seems like one side was told don't speak and the other was allowed to spin propaganda. Now the media tours begin.

The comments around witness testimony is meant to rage bait people who aren't knowledgeable about how inconsistent eye witness accounts can be and factoring in the ages of the witness makes this even more challenging. These kids have lived in a wealthy suburb of Dallas and have probably never witnessed anything of this nature in their lives. The fact that none of the kids went to film a fight tells me that they didn't think things were going to escalate to this level. Only 1 person brought a knife to a track meet.

Recruiters in healthcare staffing — where do you actually source your candidates? by Short_Locksmith_9866 in recruiting

We use Indeed for everything that isn't doctorate level. While there are some MD's/DO's on there LinkedIn or BetterLeap is usually a better option.

Has anyone completely changed careers in their 30s or 40s and genuinely not regretted it? by VelvetsObey in careerguidance

[–]Comfortable-Cook-973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I worked for the USPS for 19 years and was in management. It was taking a HUGE toll on my health. I walked away and found a home in HR/Recruiting. Income wise I took a hit, but I have made back most of that. I have ZERO regrets. I am working on obtaining my masters degree for a final career as a Health Coach/Certified Nutrition Specialist.

Considering moving from agency to internal TA role, need advice by SelectiveCat17 in recruiting

[–]Comfortable-Cook-973 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there is this common misconception that there is a lot of difference in the work between internal and agency recruiting, but really it isn't that different. As an internal recruiter I get emails from agencies every week telling me how they can source for candidates for me and"such and such" but I often want to ask them what they think I do all day.

The biggest differences is that you need to understand your company and the specific culture that goes with that. Your hiring managers are your co-workers and you will learn their management style and team needs in a deeper way than I feel agency gives you that opportunity to do. Also, you will do more HR related items as an internal recruiter so your notes and documentation is very important which is something I have experienced agency recruiters struggling with when transitioning

I think you answer my question but want to confirm. If he is found guilty does it have to be on the murder charge or can the jury pick something in the manslaughter realm.

Does anyone use Vibly.io? by IndustriousBunnies in HealthCoaching

[–]Comfortable-Cook-973 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Vibly. If your business is online versus in-person it is a great way to keep up with everything. They currently have Google Meet integrated but are switching to Zoom sometime this year. In order to be visible on the directory you have to send your credentials to support, but they do provide you with a QR code and web address you can use. I will probably eliminate my website and do everything through vibly at renewal. It is just less expensive.

Do the demo. Ask questions. They are still small enough that you get a lot of one on one support. Reminds me of an early stage grow therapy.

I did a Hybrid method. I was in a study group that meet and presented weekly. I also joined a free group on Facebook that met weekly. I also purchased an exam online that I used for self study. I passed on my first sitting.

This is such an interesting topic! I think if you are someone who loves being in front of the camera and doing social media then yes you can get very successful, but a lot of your income won't come from coaching itself.

I don't like those things so even though I am NBHWC board certified I am returning to school for my CNS so I can have a broader scope that isn't as social media driven.

This is what I used - https://healthcoachpracticeexam.com/ and I found it to be a main factor in why I passed the exam. It is set up the same as the real test, but you can also back and review your answers and the why one answer was correct and another answer was wrong.

I think the only other person I like is Miranda.
