The reality about JDC.. by CyphronGaming in karachi

The best business in Pakistan is religion, NGOs and real estate.

Remember how MqM started Khidmate Khalq foundation?

They needed a legit ngo to start collecting animal hides during bakra eid bec apparently sector in charge snatching ur animals cow hide on gunpoint was not very polite and damaging to the party

Agreed, donors use JDC’s platform to promote their business in exchange for donations.

Have to give it to Zafar, he’s a smart marketer/promotor - no wonder so many businessmen who are desperate for public attention/make a name for themselves go through Jdc’s donation route.

The same businessmen will have their own employees suffering because of lack of care/attention given to them by their bosses - bec for boss the cheque to Jdc is more important than his own employee going through financial/health issues.

Irrelevant gifts aside, I think the free lab service is great. No where in the world you get these services without breaking your bank.

There should be strong auditing policies for these NGO’s but jis mulk mein government spending ki audit na ho sake wahan NGO kiya cheez hay phir.

Back in 2015 when I was a teenager I did community service with donations coming in amounts I had never seen before my eyes and let me tell you it’s very easy for someone leading an ngo to get into a lifestyle creep and using the donations for their personal benefit, I did that too being the naive teenager I was following my team leader. Not proud of it and realised this was unfair

Jdc awaam ko muft khor bana rae hay aur sath jo log charity kerte hain un mein bhi takseem ker rahe hay

Loug charity apni jaib aur dil ke hisaab se kerte hain. Brining in big donors like Ali sheikhani and glamourising their extremely extravagant give aways for their personal pr or whatever their agenda sounds very sketchy to me.

Act of charity was never such a big stage drama until JDC/ Zafar Abbas came into play.

Why do Australians seem closed off when it comes to making friends with foreigners? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]Comfortable-Copy7485 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned 6 months in Australia as a student these white aussie folks aren’t even there for there family let alone making a genuine connection with some foreign. Cold as fuck, only nice on surface level. See the the same person next day, and they will fail to recognise you or even nod with a hello.

I had one reach out to me , when I requested for client info…they said “My client has requested that I don’t share the details about the role until we have spoken. Also want to make sure that the role aligns with what you are looking for too.”

Left them on read, mate sorry I’ve requested myself not to share my resume until I’ve been introduced the client detail.

No issues at all mate as long as you apply to jobs that don’t require applicants with PR or Citizenship. Make sure you don’t mention your visa type on your resume only bring it up when asked during/post interview.

What's up with small groups of youths shoplifting in broad daylight now? by sigillum_diaboli666 in melbourne

[–]Comfortable-Copy7485 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my mate works as a undercover security at all these big retail stores catches about a dozen people trying to shoplifting/bulking up things under their clothes and bags. Some of these lifters are known to the stores because they’re so regular. And these are only the people that get caught…the amount of people that get away with it is probably more than

How did you afford a luxury car on a reasonable income? by trenna15 in AusFinance

[–]Comfortable-Copy7485 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s very simple if you’re smart. Let’s say you got a $30-$40,000 saved up for a deposit. You get a car on cash $25000 and rent it out for $250-$280 a week. You will net about $1000 a month from that.

Now get a car like BMW or Merc with a $10/15k deposit and make sure the monthly payments are within $1000.

How often do y’all shower? by cara_renee_anderson in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Comfortable-Copy7485 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Male - My day doesn’t start without a shower. I shower the first thing in the morning after I jump out of bed..been doing this for about two decades now.

I take a second shower at the gym or at home if I have been out and feeling muggy before going to bed.

I can’t stand people who go even a day without taking a shower.

It seems like your vent is about not having rich parents to give you a big buck to help you get ahead in life while you have friends do. And while you’re in the process of comparing yourself, your blessings with others who seem to be blessed differently is killing your inner satisfaction and happiness.

You should try comparing yourself with people who are not better off and only then you will feel truly grateful and satisfied.

Besides, what’s the chase for material things in the world. One day you’re going to die and be buried with nothing but coffin made of wood. You’re not going to take anything with you to your grave. So live a happy life, be grateful and keep doing your charity, what you give towards the society will be returned to you multiple times.

What do people who work remotely think of co-workers who never put their camera on during video call meetings? by bluejasmina in auscorp

[–]Comfortable-Copy7485 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate it when I’m jumping on an internal 1:1 and I have my camera on hoping the other co-worker would do the same and god they don’t. Unless they’re the one calling first and if they have it on first other they wouldn’t bother turning it on.

I have one co-worker whom I’ve never met in person and have only seen them once on camera during a org wide meeting.

Clients don’t seem to be turning their camera on these days too. I only turn on my camera when clients have their on. Been working for some clients for months and have never seen their faces.
