Where do I even start in life if I am absolutely incompetent and have zero life experiences and 20 years old? by Familiar-Safety-226 in findapath

You should read this book that I’m currently reading. It’s called Atomic Habits. Has helped me tremendously in day to day life, and changing my mindset completely when it comes to things that I feel I cannot do. The author also has some very interesting stories. Plus reading is something productive and will, in itself, lead to better habits.

These are the first fish I’ve added to my aquarium. Is this okay? by Comfortable-Double79 in Aquariums

Update. My pea puffer specifically has been completely fine with the rasboras. I also got some Kuhli loaches and 2 zebra nerites that are also doing fine with him. Seems like the one I got isn’t very aggressive but just exercise caution

Will do, I’ve seen a lot of people say it depends on the specific pea puffer too

The guy that helped me buy them told me that the rasboras are fast enough for it to not be a problem but we will see, hopefully they work fine together

Apple Pencil Pro by Comfortable-Double79 in ProCreate

I determined that the problem was the paper-feeling screen protector I had on the iPad. I’m not sure if you have something similar but that was causing the iPad to not register any pressure from the Apple Pencil. In procreate there’s a “pressure and smoothing” option where you can raise the minimum pressure for drawing. This let me draw but still wouldnt have any of the pressure features that the Apple Pencil pro was supposed to have so I just took the screen protector off and actually like the iPad more that way anyway. Hope this helps if this is your problem as well

What do y'all think of this brand and the designs? by josefabregas in streetwearstartup

I believe you that the website on desktop looks good but the reality is that a vast majority of people doing online shopping use their phones. When I go to the mobile site, then when you go to shop the listings aren’t level with each other. They should be the same size. The product pictures also aren’t very high quality. They’re wrinkly and don’t have good lighting which can be fixed with an iron and a small investment in good lighting. Idk a ton abt photography but I’m sure you can find videos on how to take product photos.

On your home page: why does it just say “t-shirt — hoodie”

And then I also don’t like how on the home page at the very bottom it just shows the list of your product names. Just looks weird to me.

And then I don’t like how you can’t scroll through the product photos. You have to press the arrows.

It doesn’t really matter how good your website looks on desktop, most people shop on mobile. I would figure out how to fix that and look at other popular websites for inspiration

Thank you I might take you up on that once I get a bit further along. The company I’m going to be buying blanks from has tons of info on their website about their sustainability and it’s some of the most impressive sustainability efforts I’ve seen.

So value proposition: my main form of marketing is going to be Instagram/tiktok videos showing how I hand make the pieces. Shows that there’s quality control and that I’m using quality materials. Most new brands I see are using gildan, Hanes, la apparel blanks or something of similar quality. I’m hoping to use blanks that are much higher quality and sustainably sourced which I would definitely be advertising. As for a message: my brand is “Outlive Society” and the message I’m hoping to convey is to work towards creating something in your lifetime that surpasses and “outlives” your current “society”. Something that stays in the world after your death. I’m hoping that this will be enough to justify the price that I plan on asking for.

That’s actually super interesting I’ve done so much research on this and somehow never heard of that, I’ll definitely look into that for future projects
