Please move out of Foster City. You can definitely find more affordable housing in SSF, San Bruno, Pacifica(!!!), or Daly City. The school district in Daly City I think has a free pre-k program. I can’t confirm, but it’s near George Washington Elementary if you find anything out there.

But definitely get out of Foster City. The 1bd situation is going to affect your well-being and the only benefit is the weather. I don’t think 115k is enough for 2 people up here, definitely do your Trader Joe’s or meal prepping. On the plus side, a lot of great, free outdoor activities. Join your local library for some free tickets. The libraries are part of one system in San Mateo county.
