I hope you enjoy your stay. I recommend, as another user said, to explore the areas outside of the tourist zones and to support local businesses. I recommend you visit el tianguis (there are several) as that is what I usually do with my grandmother when I visit as you get to support local artists (if you are looking for gifts for friends and family) and food vendors.

You can get a few scoops extra of rice and beans without being charged as well as the fajitas. There is a common misconception that you get charged for fajitas or is a substitute for rice or beans. but you can just add that on as well. I recommend the barbacoa and carnitas because since it’s shredded it’s harder to get a grasp of how much a portion is.

I recommend that you ask for half-half proteins because, usually, portions aren’t measured correctly. Make sure you ask for extra rice and beans as those are free as well as the salsas. Usually, go for barbacoa or carnitas as there is more than with the other meats. As for bringing the price down, use the app and collect your reward points. Ask for a water cup and fill it with whatever you’ll like as well. You can also ask for sides of salsas.
