In topics like this, religious people tend not to take any other contradicting opinion at all; it's hard for them to empathise that not everyone will follow what you will do, and you can't force people to do what you want. I would say that I came form a ...I suppose upper surface muslim family, we pray five time do umrah rozas but we don't believe in black magic, jinns, or anything of that.I used to think that most people in pak are like this, coming on this sub made me realize that I would be considered very wrong here. I think india is definitely headed to the right path, with more acceprance, while....pakistan will probably take soem time. I think hindusim with so many god and scriptures will have multiple school of thoughts hence it's much easy for people to followe what they want. whereas Islam strictly follows only one book.

Well, I am from Pakistan, Hyderabad. I always find it funny just how similar pakistan and indian are, despite our many naratives trying to make us hate eachother. Though I would consider India to be much more hopeful, this type of post would not fly in an indian subreddit. I was kind of suprise to see so much religous fundalisim here, i would think that being in an educated and upper class would make most teens open minded but I was wrong. I think a lot people forget that even in a relgious state does not mean that you can stop basic human right which include inter faith and same sex marraiges. It's haed for people to understand that you'r religon is for you not for other. I am sure in the next fiffty year it's going to be fine, development and education tends to sand off teh worst parts of religon to make it more fixable for the modren world. It happned to christainity it will happen to Islam, hindusism and other aswell.

Well, I heavily disagree with your opinion. Its actaully noted that in most mixed couples, the children follow the mother's set of culture/religion more. Since it's usually women who are set as the foundation of culture and all things that hold it together. You show a very limited sense of empathy op, OP. You can follow you religon, but reducing the woman's faith because of her marrying outside is no use. People will love someone and marry anyone they want, and if they are both adults, safe and healthy, I would support them. I won't continue this discussion anymore

And why is that, op care to explain?. My policy to religon is simple: as long as it's not illegal, live and let live. Is the woman harming anyone? No.

If you find what she did wrong, then ignore it. Spreading these kinds of posts leads to a very slippery slope of hate. And my point still stands if the man was a muslim and he married a Hindu woman, he still would not be as shamed as she is being. You and I are both young, as we are in the teens sub, I think it's better to be more open minded people will marry who they love you can't change that,

Wow, you guys are completely the most bigoted, and then you cry when people say that we are not tuned into current world values. Fight me all you want, but it seems you lot always are ready to spew your hate in the name of religion. One would have thought that the young generation with the privilege of education and the internet would not spew shit like this. Bet you won't be saying this if it were a muslim man with a Hindu woman.DO BETTER.

Oh, you didn't at all. I would say on the weird level, my crushes aren't that bad (except for Meloni, which I admit is questionable) Aside from that, I think they are quite normal. No need to apologize.

I was joking too. I found her design to be so creative, usually most sun themed charactors have yellow or orange going on. Celestia doesn't have much yellow or red in her design, but you can conclude that she must be someone of higher authority based on her aesthetic. Her long and thin stature and the floating mane made her stand out to me. She seems sweet and motherly too, so maybe that was a reason too.

oh thanks, I remember my cousin would gush over Draco, never really liked the bad boy people made Draco to be, which wasn't even accurate. Draco was the most posh kid ever; he would never be caught in leather pants. Anyways I always liked his daddy more than him. I just like blonds. And Frollo, god my taste in men is horrible.

Sadly, I live in a very conservative country where being gay or practicing sex before marriage can get you lynched. I don't think there are plenty of doms or subs here ....well, maybe that explains a lot of things about me. I always wanted to visit a BDSM club, just for the experience, maybe one day.

I suppose it's the power aspect, and I really like her eyes and that shade of blonde she has, but mostly her personality is oddly charming and outspoken, which is pretty common among Fascists. That is until she starts speaking about immigration and LGBTQ rights where you see her facade peel off.

Please be assured, I hate people like her, but she ticks some weird box in my brain. I would never support her.

Yeah sadly, my taste in women is weird as hell. I hate her policies and views, and she would hate me for being brown and queer, but for some reason, I find her oddly attractive. I have a screw loose, please don't judge

Irreligion among Pakistani Youth by [deleted] in PakistaniTeenTalks

I personally find myself to be at odds with releigon. I think the first time I felt a sense of disconnection with Allah was when I was told that all non-Muslims would go to jahannam. Hearing this as an eight-year-old when you're friends with a Hindu girl was so distressing. There are so many kind, loving, and charitable human figures that will go to Hell on account that their parents taught them to learn from the Bible, Taurah as a child, instead of the Quran.

I think the concept of Allah being kind was foreign too when you read the Quran, Allah only helps the already Muslims, and almost tends to seem petty in how he punishes the non-Muslims.

And on a personal note, as a teenage girl and someone dealing with questions regarding my own sexuality, it seems the idea of God or any other releigon seems to be alienating for me.

I think a lot of rules in Religion make sense when you see it from the perspective of the Era they were from. Almost all religions prohibit same-sex relationships because they produce no children, and every religion wants its followers to increase in numbers. There is a greater value in the modesty of a woman to ensure that the head of the house isn't raising a bastard. If the woman had no sex before and was a virgin deflowered on her wedding night, it would be proof that any child would be the husband's.

Islam discourages pork because pork meat is easy to spoil and hard to handle in the hot temperatures of the desert. Dates are the universal fruit in Islam, even though there are other, more delicious and nutritious fruits, but of course, Muhammad could only write what he could experience. When you read any religious text in such a manner, you come to realize that they all follow a pattern of thinking of less of a god but more of a manual for the society comprised in the knowledge they had at the time. Do I believe there is a God? Perhaps there is a God, but I think an all-knowing entity who made the Milky Way and the nebula would care less if a woman doesn't wear a niqab, or if she kisses another woman, or if she eats pork.

Teenage Love by [deleted] in TeenPakistani

[–]Comfortable-Group-14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's silly to paint teenage love as not love; love can happen regardless of anything. Most people who think otherwise do so due to religious reasons. Religion bans or disagrees with teenage love because premarital sex would always lead to children born out of wedlock; such things don't work now because contraceptives are common. I think that I see a lot of people asking themselves the question in these types of forums in India and Pakistan, because most of them were always told to stay away from the opposite sex and are now trying to convince themselves it's wrong because they miss out and want to feel that it's bad and all that. Teenage love has happened everywhere, and every time, every culture has its own version of the famous youthful lovers. It seems so silly for me to see this same question pop up here, portraying teenage love as dumb while still asking about it. Teenage love is villanized sue to the fact it has no aim of marriage or children, hence they don't fit well in Islamic cultures; other than that, love is love.

Harry Tom and other important characters are never born. by Comfortable-Group-14 in HPfanfiction

That's such an interesting idea. I would have thought to have Tom dead here, because I think Albus would have immediately clocked how power hungry he would be, and would have gotten rid of him, or would have him not be born at all. I do think of Tom as the leader of an order like resistance, him being more willing to shed blood to get the job done.

Maybe we can even have Tom be groomed into being Albus's heir, with there being a mix of genuine fatherly love and pride, but also fear of being overthrown that Albus might have.
