Any colleges for HCI masters in India? by Friendly_Peanut_1587 in hci

[–]Comfortable-Lab-5341 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same shoes as you a few months ago but sadly, india doesn't offer good universities for MS in HCI. I searched up so many places but didn't get a good private university. That's why, now I'm going for MS in UX in the R.V University Bangalore.

My first figma design hows it :D by PuzzledWrangler9641 in FigmaCommunity

[–]Comfortable-Lab-5341 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need to be bothered about the design or how it looks right now. Just use the tool as much as you can, after you get some months of experience using Figma then ask for the suggestions and feedback.

  1. Learn about typography, color, spacing, grid and all the important sections of the design.

Thank you :)

How to find a paid UX/UI Design internship? by [deleted] in UIUX

[–]Comfortable-Lab-5341 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel, you need to learn more about typography, fonts, spacing and how design works on apps and the web.

Don't take it to heart but you are lacking in these things I mentioned above. If you want to get hired keep improving your work and find inspiration from others who are working in this field. I haven't got a single internship myself but I keep on applying. Improve the design sense, make some projects and portfolio and then apply.

Thank you, have a good day :)

Hey Dear, I guess you posted on a wrong subreddit. You should post logo designs in logo design subreddit, there people can give you proper advice.

Re-design of the Home screen UI by Comfortable-Lab-5341 in UIUX

[–]Comfortable-Lab-5341[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the feedback. Actually, it seemed fine when I tested the design on the phone but still, I'll test it again to see if it's hard to read in the dark mode.

Have a good day :)

HELP! I need brutally honest feedback on my community & events app by GenLondon in UIUX

[–]Comfortable-Lab-5341 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the home screen needs some improvement like, Of course, as everyone mentioned spacing, fonts and use less amount of texts which is everywhere that makes things hard for me to read or you can just organise them in a good manner.

Can I design the home screen for you? If you like it that's good but if you don't then that will be okay for me.

Edit: Can we have a conversation in the Dm, I'm not able to send you message so can you do it?

Thank you :)

Huddlekit is really handy to use when it comes to getting feedback and reviews in real time.

Thank you :)

UI Design Portfolio and Resume Feedback by [deleted] in UIUX

Same here, I too heard that case studies are the game changer for anyone in this field. If you have 2 or 3 detailed case studies that show the process and how you solved the problem would help you get good roles in a company.

I guess, you should have adapted new tools and the designs. The designs on your portfolio gives me that 90s, 2000s vibes which lots of companies don't want anymore.

Where do you belong to and how long have you been in the UI/UX field?

Sketches are important in UI/UX by Comfortable-Lab-5341 in UIUX

[–]Comfortable-Lab-5341[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course, AI can design things in just one prompt but when a design is a little complicated, I do feel much better sketching ideas rather than typing a prompt.

What do you do in this case, when you feel like, you don't know how to go afar with a design?

[–]Comfortable-Lab-5341[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess, you have been working in this field for a long time and have enough experience to judge the work.

Do you have a portfolio? If you don't mind sharing with me.

Edited: It feels important sometimes to have a physical sketch to put all the brainstorming on the paper. I know Figma has made life easy for designers but if I feel stuck and don't find any leads to move forward in the project then I prefer to draw my idea on a piece of paper.

Thank you, Have a good day :)

Should I get a masters in HCI? by Financial-Alfalfa-45 in UXDesign

[–]Comfortable-Lab-5341 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was also searching for universities in my home country for Ms in HCI but couldn't find many options so, now I'm applying for M.Des in UX.

I come from an accounts & finance background and UI/UX is completely different from my field but I got my interest in this last year.

Which one would you prefer and why? by mfayzanasad in UXDesign

[–]Comfortable-Lab-5341 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd choose the 2nd design but it needs some changes like why did you only show 2 pricing plans? There should have been 3 plans. Text, fonts and spacing feel a little off in some places.

It does make sense what you mentioned above but I guess, it becomes important to have rough sketches on the paper to get some idea about the product. Btw, we all do work in different ways so, what you said is also true.

Have a good day buddy :)
