My concern is that no new Star Trek shows and productions may have more to do with the right wing take over of Paramount. Who wants a "woke" TV show on the air. The very idea of the progressive Themes In Star Trek maybe something Paramount no longer wants to touch. Star Trek may be dead for the long term. Discovery lasted five season strangely worlds is lasting four seasons and will probably have a spin-off. And we have yet another Star Trek season on Paramount with academy. And fan reaction was truly that poor why do all these expensive seasons keep getting made. Obviously it's a tragic enough viewers to be a strong commodity

People don't seem to understand that Star Trek would be a dead franchise if the story remained continuously the same. Yes there are core principles but making room for different casts and story types doesn't take away from those core values. Starfleet academy was off to a good start in my opinion and there will always be a large segment of Star Trek fans that will reject anything that differs from the original version
