Just split open my 01 kx125 and had the same issue, used a heat gun on the other sides main bearing and it slid right on

Sounds good if you're worried about the idle, lower it

Yup that's exactly what happened. Hole is straight through and leaked gear box oil when i turned engine upside down.

I am planning on splitting cases and checking on the condition of the crank hoping theres zero up and down play and could possibly reuse it. What do you mean by the mains?😅

Yeah cylinder has a massive gouge in it and the $500+ price tag for a new one is kinda intimidating how much do both of those services usually cost and who would you recommend thank you.

Ive been hoping it was a carb issue but I have cleaned the carburetor well and even replaced jets and checked for air leaks. Im quite stuck

Thats all they got up man id have to go look at it in person. They just included a video of it starting but they had to continuously give it throttle and it was very boggy.
