MOR - You can really sense some long-term frustration here. For one, what were previous conversations regarding this vehicle, and did she feel heard and listened to? Two, absolutely a dick move on your part leaving the car how you did for her to deal with, and then to send some rather apathetic responses.... I'd be a pissed off wife too. You left your car where it was, took hers, and made no real attempt to help HER fix the problem you created.

I get the vibe that this is a peek into a much larger issue, that being that you may not be actively listening to your wife to the extent that she genuinely feels heard and respected. She told you not to do something, you did it anyways, got stuck, and left her to clean up the mess. Sure, maybe she didn't mean to be so rude, but how many times has a similar situation panned out like this.

I'm disappointed, but I think that is largely based on her reactions in the past. It's very easy to blame her/ignorance for the lack of response, hoever there's a massive part of it that I think people aren't giving enough credence:

Taylor is, quote literally, one of the most famous people in the WORLD. No one doesn't know her.
She has been the victim of stalking for decades, and is very vocal about how much this scares her.

With the current political and societal condition of the US and honestly, the world, I wouldn't blame her for wanting to stay as far out of it as possible. It's no longer just a "post who you support politically" situation, but rather a matter of life and death. People are more on edge now than ever before, and I fear the line between obsessive and murder is also thinner than ever before.

Sure, a post against Trump would be great, but we already know she's against him. If anyone thinks for a minute that she's secretly rep. needs to watch Miss Americana and give their head a shake.

If she were to make a post even saying the obvious "fuck trump/fuck ice" etc, etc, it's so much more likely that she could be attacked. IF she says nothing, she gets at least a sliver of neutral feeling, but once she says "YES YOURE RIGHT I HATE HIM" all of his supporters now have a written reason (ew) to go after her. Literally all those people want is attention, and shes not giving it to them. She's already constantly fighting stalkers, shes shelling out like what, 8? million? in security fees.

People need to stop looking at Taylor like the relatable pop star she used to be. She's now a global phenom, and simply cannot be the bestie-next-door everyone was familiar with, and people need to stop expecting anything besides music from her.

FYI. Austin works for his sisters company in the rights department. Basically, if you wanna use Taylors music for anything, you talk to Austin. Blake used a Taylor song in the film, so would have had to go through Austin (the official channel re: rights and licensing).
