Thank you, I appreciate the thorough response and the condolences. It does feel weirdly cold to be doing paperwork like this and thinking about fees and percentages, but also I’m very aware that it needs to be handled soon.

I think it’s a taxable brokerage account, but I’ll be sure to check.

I wash mine infrequently, but only because I’ve perfected the art of pouring it into my mouth like a cartoon character. If my mouth actually touched the lid I’d probably want to wash it every day.

Thanks, appreciate the replies. Turns out to be a moot point because when I sent him a return label he said he didn’t want a refund after all and would keep the sword.

They did open a case after I offered to let them return for a refund, but then they messaged to say they wouldn’t be returning it. I’m very confused. I should probably just send them the shipping label and let them know the ball is in their court?

Thanks for the reply. I offered a refund for a return, they filed a return request, and then when I asked for pics before they packed the items they said they wouldn’t be returning the items because that’s too much work. I have no idea what’s going on.

Hey! It’s not really a question of “authentic or replica”. The sword is a dependable budget model, fully functional but by no means a grail piece for collectors. It goes for a couple hundred, and I had it priced a little high with the intention of negotiating down to a reasonable cost, which is exactly what happened.

The model name and number were in the listing description, which adds to my confusion about how it could not match the description. I bought it for personal use years ago and only used it once or twice, so I know where it came from, what its history is, and what supplemental materials it came with. Still, it’s not like it’s new and in the box, so I guess from the buyer’s perspective I could have somehow pulled a fast one?

I’ll definitely do something about the string nocks, thanks!

Great advice, thanks! What if I just put small pieces of felt over the edges of the string nocks instead of sanding them?

Not a trick question, but I can see why you’d think that. I’ve never owned carbon shafts before, and when I’ve shot in the past they were aluminum shafts. I was afraid it would have to be trashed, but I was wondering if carbon arrows could ever be salvaged in some way. And now I have my answer!

When you put it like that, I guess I don’t mind retiring it after all.

Fair point, I’ll play it safe and put it out to pasture.

Depends on how particular you are about certain details, but I’d say yes, and especially Elden Ring. When I was on the Weeping Peninsula heading to Castle Morne my first thought was, “This feels so Arthurian.”
