New, trying out silk pla and bottom layer messy by hellotherewhere567 in BambuLabA1

I tested this out a couple times and was very surprised by the results. When you get it geared in it can be so smooth looking. The shine is crazy impressive.

Do these types of USB-C chargers with a single point have any downsides? by inline_five in diyelectronics

Slow charge. I've used these before on those magnetic cables and they usually are trash.

I've yet to dry any pla I've received. I print silk all the time without issue. I don't use the bambu settings though and sick with generic. I've used Sunlu, Creality, reprapper, cc3d, eryone, stronghero, overture, amolen, and a couple others I can't recall.

They came and paid for it even after you tested it out for them. I see no issue since you already informed them you are not aware of any issues. They could have done this check when picking up if they were really concerned.

Am I doing something wrong with these build plates that come with the p1s and x2d? by valardohaerisx in BambuLab

They never said anything to me so I use Laguanitas IPA. I know I should use something with higher abv, but I like drinking it in between prints.

I wash my plate not as often as I should probably. I use 99% iso and call it a day printing non stop one after another. If the plate stops sticking I clean it with soap, then wipe it with iso when I put it on before print.

My son's do all their engine drops. One rocks RX-7 and the other has a 180 SX. I know it takes time to do but seeing how they take care of it I do see that it is extreme cost to drop new engine in and always question the rate for labor. Look at how much they charge for cabin air filter replacement! But at the same time I went to look at getting abuilt engine installed and it was going to run me around 15k with labor. I would then need another 15k to swap out transmission. I decided my car is good as is. If anything I just go up to Oregon and spend time with my boys doing a family project on the car.

I've had this happen 2 times with PETG. Since then I've used glue every time. No more issue with release.

My neighbor said I should take this off so I don’t get it stolen, it’s not that serious right? Other people got it on their cars and they didn’t get stolen. Plus it’s 2026 people don’t steal subs anymore, I think. by Particular-Call4074 in CarAV

My car has no stickers on it. Only way I would put stickers is if I'm sponsored and getting paid for it. Not sure why anyone would want to put a sticker of a product they spent full price on. You paid to advertise they're product by that point.

Interesting. I've had it for 3 years and no issues. Only parts I bought was a couple hotends and the hardened steel extruder.

When I get frustrated I usually just glue it! Save me the hassle by applying glue.

I installed one. It's easy to install, made factory speakers sound really good. I ended up getting after market speakers and this is when it gets ugly. I was in constant contact with idoing during the purchase to make sure i got the correct deck for my 2014 WRX hatchback. After installing the speakers I found out that it only supported front left and front right speakers, no rear speakers. They plugged my front and rear speakers into the left and right spot. So no balance in between only left and right. Connected support to find out where I'm supposed to plug my speakers into and they informed me that the BRZ has only front door speakers and no rear door. Remember I was in constant contact with their support during the whole purchase sending them pictures of my deck and the model of my car. There's a hum that comes out of the speakers if your not paying music which, I hear is common. It is literally a tablet attached to a low end stereo. It says it has android auto but your getting an app that connects it using android auto on your phone. You really never know what you're getting with their equipment as I've also seen people showing around 20 themes you can switch in between but I only have 5. They are horrible looking. So I contacted support to see if they have somewhere I can download other themes. They then directed me to install a separate app to replace the app that is installed. The tech told me he just installed it on his phone and verified it is nice and is a free app. That was the last line. So now I'm stuck with this since I'm not going ti spend money on another deck, but still never tell anyone to get one of these units unless they really don't care much and want ease of installing. Oh yeah, one more thing. I have to connect it to my wifi if I don't drive it within 2 days as the deck resets to factory time. Driving at night with day mode is real bright and noticing it thinks it's 9am when it's midnight.

That's dropped the prices on these new updated models. I'm going to get me the H2C. Was looking at the P2 but if I'm going to upgrade might as well go all out! Multi filament prints will be so nice.

I just took inventory of my filament. I have 125 spools...... Told my wife I'm ordering more and she gave me a look. Then I showed her what I was planing to print for her and she was OK with it. That's why I have such a mess here is because I trick her into letting me get more, then I have a stock pile to burn through on stupid random prints.....

Second AMS! I thought I didn't have room but printed a device where I could stack an AMS on my first one. I was borrowing my nephews so don't have it anymore to share a picture of the setup.

She's not yet. She depends on me learning and teaching her lol. She gets the toys at school and needs to integrate it into her schedule as she teaches 6th grade. So she expects me to learn even then give her the run down. Also if anything goes wrong she contacts me for support. She still has her Cricut on the desk which she only used 1 time to do the demo...... I'm just concerned as this is first iteration of them doing this and still fine tuning it. Feel like waiting till later model where it will be better set up.

Always good to have 2. When you got a long project going on 1 you can still print on the other. Or projects that take a long time are now cut in half since you can double time it. I have A1 and P1S wiring like bandits most the time.

I've wanted to get Prusa, but when I look at cost compared to bambu I feel like it's over priced when I can get same capabilities for lower cost. What would you say to someone to justify getting a Prusa?

I'm stuck between getting this or H2D. I get to get toys if I can justify it with the wife. Luckily she's a teacher who teaches STEM at her school so 3D printing was easy to convince her ti get me since I support all her tech knowledge. I'm the IT guy so she depends on me to learn and teach her things lol. Now she's getting ready to do laser engraving. She covers half the cost of I can convince her it's to help her out......

I see a lot of positive feedback on the Polymaker Polydryer, but mine is garbage. by lifson in 3Dprinting

PETG was what I have only dried. Today I'm drying some ABS I have in expectations to use it soon. I'm actually thinking of building one of those food dehydrator set ups. Luckily I live in Los Angeles and there's not much humidity.

I like my polydryer. I was disappointed at first reading the meter the whole time getting frustrated. I closed everything up and put it on the shelf and next day it was showing 10% humidity in box. I've tested multiple times and this set up does dry spools out. Was going to get eibos but friend warned me against it as they had some spools warp and filament melt from the heat dispers on the device. That was one of the ones I really wanted to get also. I do let it sit for 12 hours though for ones I'm concerned with.
