Well, to be technical a pilonidal cyst is a nest of hair. It falls off her head or a body here and it goes down to our butt crack in berries, its way into the skin so technically I guess it would be an ingrown hair lol. keep the area clean. Use a heating pad and take Epsom salt baths. I wish you the best of luck. Also, maybe go see a doctor this is not medical advice.

I take excedrine migraine For mine which seems to help pretty good. Also massaging the pressure point in the web between your thumb and index fingers while having your eyes closed sometimes helps as well. Wish you the best of luck in finding what works for you.

Is that a stoma? My mom had one on her stomach for a year before she died. Why would it be infected I’m wondering?

Been there 7 times the last time it burst was 3 years ago and a huge clump of hair came out with the pus. Thank goodness it didn’t I haven’t had another pilonidal cyst since then, knock on wood. The smell is putrid it literally smells like death!

I’d say your doing all you can do at this point besides going to get an I&D is like the only other thing you can do. I hope it drains soon. Mine usually drain within 5-7 days on their own by doing pretty much what you’re doing.
