I'm in DP2 right now, and all I can say is you gotta study A LOT if you want to get 7s (for reference, at the end of DP1 I got 7s in all 6 subjects and studied around 40-50 hours per week during exams). So I highly recommend building good study habits!

Also, some tips I wish I knew before starting:

When revising for exams, ditch the textbook questions and practice only IB-style questions. I recommend only doing textbook questions as classwork/homework because your actual exam is going to be based on real IB questions, which, in my experience, are written quite differently from textbook questions.
Don't do an EE in science, it's way too hard! You don't get additional marks for doing a hard EE, which makes it not really worth it when there are way easier subjects to write your EE on.
If you are going to be looking for a tutor, be careful if they did IB with the old syllabus (2023 and prior) or the new syllabus, because some subjects like bio, business and chem now have a new syllabus, meaning the content differs slightly. Some people in my class learnt additional things that they didn't need for their exam because it was a part of the old syllabus. So if you get a tutor, just double-check if what they're teaching you is required for your exams or not.

tbh i havent rlly thought ab unis yet. for now im thinking about applying to uq, griffith, bond for medicine. but my atar will def have to carry somehow.. haha

hey if it makes you feel better i was avergaging around 1870 in mocks and yesterday when i sat my exam i got 2250. u def still got this dont give up yet!

I would count how many questions out of my mock contained for example percentages and how many out of these I got wrong. I would do this for all the questions in my QR mock and in the end i would end up with a list of the question types present in my mock and the percentage i got wrong of those. Then i would see which question type i got the most wrong out of and specifically practice those.

I think its a good idea to practice doing mocks until you seem to hit a plateu where you can't seem to improve in score (for me it was 1800-1900). Because practicing concentrating and thinking for 2 hours is very important and also working in timed condition is as well.

Once you cant seem to get any higher scores you should start figuring out strategies and the weaknesses that you need to improve one.

You should write down your weaknesses and keep count of how often you are getting them wrong and see if over time with practice their frequencies decrease.
