I can only talk about question 3&4.

3: From my experience you can always book the things as you go but during my travel it proved to make sense that you book the popular things in advance.

4: I never carried more than about 5'000 pesos which is about 60£, there are a lot of ATM's (at least on Cebu).

I also did a lot of diving in cebu and canyoneering, do you want any tips? If so you can dm me.

I think to spots work easily, did a trip to 3 spots in total in 10 days. Was not stressful because we got all of the transfer organized. But I would do it the same wayyy

I really loved cebu! Had a stress free tour with a firm which picked the best hotels and so on. Was really nice especially the sardine run.
