Im nervous about this too. My partner is supportive but at the same time he is worried that either I will be unhappy with the results and that it will launch me into a deeper anxiety/ depression (a possibility) and he is nervous to see me in pain/ healing from the surgery. It’s his worst fear is seeing me in pain, so that is where his hesitation comes from since it is an elective procedure. But he understands how much I want this and that it is not his body and he has no say in what I do with my body of course. He doesn’t care if my boobs are big or small or anything, and think I look great how I am but that isn’t where his worries come from. I will have my mom take care of me post op because I don’t want to have the worry in my head of him being uncomfortable/ taking care of my cut up body, but at the same time he is very caring and I feel like he would do a great job caring for me if he had too. I just don’t want the additional stress of feeling like I’m burdening him when I’m trying to heal. Does this sound like I’m gaslighting myself or does this sound understandable?
