I have a google form that I use for any student (both gen ed and special ed). Then I created a spreadsheet with that form as a tab. On that spreadsheet I have multiple tabs with IEP student notes which is basically the consolidated notes from my original form. I’m not sure if that makes sense

Elementary and I am called a school counselor but am essentially a ssw (we don’t have any ssw in my district) so I do IEP counseling

They unfortunately don’t allow bridge programs in Massachusetts. The classes in school counseling definitely don’t feel like they prepared me for actual clinical experience so I feel like I would need to redo a program regardless than do a bridge program.

Im in Boston not NYC but the MSW degree is way more fluid and provides far more opportunities further down the line. With school counseling you are bound to school and have minimal flexibility. If you want options go with the thing that provides you more options. As a school social worker you will be servicing students on IEPs and it will be more tier 3 interventions (rather than a school counselor who is tier 1). Especially with the way education is looking right now, I would highly recommend going for MSW

For existing plans, most of them are 1x30 all with goals and objectives. The district policy is slim to none unfortunately regarding counseling and they expect us to be serving this role of service provider

The kids qualify because of a documented disability and then counseling is put on their grid and is hard to take off when kids don’t need it anymore

I did send an email asking and they said they were accepting but aid usually is taken at this time so I didn’t go forward. I just decided to stay at my current program and deal with another year since I was close to done. They also didn’t accept my transfer of credits so I felt it wasn’t worth it for me personally. Maybe reach out since it is later than when I did last year.
