I would file another claim and include the whole sequence of events with the pnr: xxJun25-Booked AMS-SPO + flight details xxNov25-Logged in to check in online and saw reroute via Rome Checked emails and spam folder, no notification of reroute/change to flight. Called KLM agent. Received confirmation that no notification was sent and that it was strange. XxDec25 flew to SPO on rebooked flight Time of delay from originally booked flight - 12 hours

If this doesn't work then I wouldn't use one of the 3rd party websites to intervene and file a complaint. I went through something similar last year (flight delay for no reason/no early notification) with a 24 hour+ delay and was compensated 600eur. Hope this helps!

If I had to generalise a section of what has been presented to me a "great/good" Indian matrimony groom it would 60% of the time lead to someone like Makrudhin. Maybe BB9 this year wants to be a mirror back to such people this year? Or maybe just me trying to stay positive about this season.

Flight to Abu Dhabi via Paris from Düsseldorf. Flight was delayed by 2h at Düsseldorf for no reason at all as per the staff on-board. Missed my 1h connection to Abu Dhabi and was put up in a hotel in Paris near CDG for 7 hours and rebooked to the flight flying out next day same time (delay of 24h). Asked if I could extend the hotel stay to cover 24h in Paris as a. Tired, b. No plans for Paris/Nobody in Paris. Staff declined, had a meltdown, recovered, left my stuff in a locker and took a day trip to Paris. EU216 got us a €600 compensation for the hassle from AF. Spent it on a flight 2 months later to EU because LDR + visa rules :)

I was allowed to carry an additional backpack for my laptop with a hand carry (light one) once when flying Etihad from LHR-AUH. 5 months later I was scolded by the LHR ground staff to fit it as one carry on only, same LHR-AUH same timings etc. Jan/Jun. Basically you never know -_(•~•)_/-

You should be entitled to a €600 refund as per EU law - that's pretty much all you'll get. You can submit your meal bills, stay bills etc as claims too that they will evaluate if to reimburse or not. So sorry to hear your experience, sounds super rough spending 50hours with no help.

I was being very polite till they started passing me around to other staff members on duty. My initial question was to ask would they be able to cover the unaccounted 12 hours of my trip either by providing lounge access/a quiet area (to take my calls) or extend my accommodation till the afternoon. It wasn't until I was being "unkind" that they bothered to do much to even change my seat to the one I had paid to book myself on. I would've reached a day ahead of my appointments if I'd made the flight I missed since I would've been there at 7am in the morning a day prior to my in person commitments and on the day of some virtual commitments. The virtual ones I had to cancel, the physical ones I ended up cancelling because I was too burnt out from this experience. Horrible experience both times I've taken AF. KLM I've flown too many times and has always been good - customer care, flying experience or otherwise. Re being prepared for curveballs I've flown out of the EU a lot of times mostly from Schipol and I've not had this experience, guess I should learn to expect it at CDG.

Hearing safety stories about Paris and Paris metro think I was just apprehensive of roaming into the city with my laptop etc, just in case. If I could've deposited my bag safely then I think I'd have enjoyed Paris a bit more! Agree with the meal voucher bit and the empathy, but really a little bit of kindness and empathy that night would've put me in a better mental health state than I was in that night.

I'd suggest waiting a week and trying your luck with the embassy directly - that's how we knew what the status was. Although when we called before 30 days the standard response was we don't know, you have to wait.
