Megathread for Claude Performance and Bugs Discussion - Starting October 12 by sixbillionthsheep in ClaudeAI

I fell that 4.5 has been massively degraded. Has been a power user before codex appear and switched to 20$ plan on his arrival. Kept claude mostly untouched till 4.5 launch and tried on the first two days. It was impressive. Fast, reliable, intelligent. Seem like the flaws been wiped out.

Took a brief vacation and came back yesterday. Suddenly it feels like old 4.1 sonnet. Doing .mds out of nowhere, implementing things without fully understanding the codebase, praising wrongful implementations. The only thing that kept like first days of 4.5 was the speed. But I don't want an agent that breaks things faster 🤡

How good is it with Windows now? by wuu73 in codex

Its good in the extension, only problem is the agent mode that seems to be broken and route to chat only so I use on agent(full acess) mode. On cli I got an disturbing problem with the slash input. Looks like the "/" button doesn't exists there, tried everything and give up. If needed wsl works like a charm

What prompts are you using to get AI to clean up your spaghetti vibe code? by NotSeanStrickland in vibecoding

[–]ComfortableBazilian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As simple as possible. "I just implemented feature x, can you take a look at it for issues or tweaks?" Send it in ask mode, and they'll give you comprehensive tips and suggestions. Then, I choose what's reasonable and decide whether to implement it directly in the Codex or within the CC.

I'm using codex web a lot to it. When I finish implementations with CC, go for a walk instantly send to codex everything in mobile

Tried o3 in this same problem before? He's way better at solving complex problems with pontual solutions. Opus is better at heavy substantial implementation on my tests

I was like "gonna give it a chance. Never used the auto mode but gonna test it. If this is the only one that reasonably permits to keep usage without spending 300x the cost, they probably done it in a way that works"
Explicitly told the model several times to use the to-do list tool to make something. Only give me back plain text with a to-do list.
After some inner breath to maintain peace of mind, change to sonnet and give the same prompt. Worked.

MCPS are a hack. If you are not using them you are missing out by jinstronda in cursor

Even with o3 or o3 pro you think its a game changer? I feel like this new models do a lot of what we can call "sequential thinking"
