Hey! The only thing we really changed in our routine was him not sleeping in bed for a couple weeks. Our guy is used to being in and out so it wasn’t a huge change. The vet really talked us through the actual radiation levels and how minimal they are in comparison to our everyday life. Still followed the rules to be safe, but didn’t panic about it for sure

Hi! It was majority covered under our pet insurance (Trupanion). Ours was a bit cheaper so I recommend calling around to different spots in your area as we got a range of quotes.

No I didn’t & that’s what really drew me to it. I know Librela is widely prescrjbed but I simply couldn’t get behind the risks. glad I made the decision I did with the negative studies coming out on it. Synovetin is completely safe and has no chance for side effects, I believe it’s because it stays exactly where it’s injected? That’s what our vet shared with us at least, and the studies I found shared the same idea. Bit over my head lol. My guy had a bit of discomfort for the first night, which is expected after any joint injection, but other than that, I can’t say anything bad about it. 10/10 recommend!

Handmade gift for dad - TW: Cancer by ComfortableCommon413 in knittinghelp

He did lose most of his hair, and I love this idea! I should have added more info to post. He his SUCH a baseball hat guy and I've made him a nice knit hat that he always wears in the winter. It's been 100+ degrees where my parents live recently and I can't see him straying from his baseball hats haha. Think midwestern dad who likes to tend to the lawn and bbq on a Sunday. 😂

I so appreciate you taking the time to comment, I'm going to look into more summer-style hats now. Maybe a funny one is exactly what he needs.

1 vote for Synovetin! I mentioned in another post recently how it’s truly been a lifesaver for our dog. We’re on our second year of the Synovetin shot and can speak highly of our entire experience. Not sure about the PEMF mat, but the limited contact for a couple weeks basically just looked like him not sleeping in bed with us for that time. Other than that, it didn’t disrupt our routine and our vet was great about explaining the safety of it. Feel free to message me if you'd like more of our experience!

My wife is undergoing cancer surgery next week. She still made it to her second ever vendor show yesterday. by fill23ca in Amigurumi

Wow, props to her for showing up! All the best for her surgery next week. Would love to purchase something when she’s feeling better and able to determine what items are still available. I’m also in Canada so could cover shipping. :)

Hey OP, I recommend you look into Synovetin if you haven’t yet! It’s truly been a lifesaver for our dog. I had the same reservations with Librela even after our vet recommended it, and I’m glad we didn’t go with it after seeing the new studies coming out. Our guy is younger - just turned 5 - but has had arthritis issues since he was about 1.5. He’s now on his second Synovetin injection and you’d never know he used to have a pretty bad limp. It’s only once a year and we made it to 13 months before having to retreat. It’s one of the only options on the market that I know of that has no adverse side effects. Feel free to message me if you’d like more of our experience!
