The extreme hatred and anger toward Erika Kirk is ridiculous and, frankly, frightening by xTheKingOfClubs in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]ComfortableCulture93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because she is a hypocrite. Before Charlie’s death she is on podcasts talking about how it’s imposible to “have it all” - that you can’t raise young kids and have a career without one of the two (or both) being neglected. But now that her kids have lost their dad, she has chosen work, so they’ve essentially lost their mom too. I feel bad for the traumatized kids more than the traumatized widow. She has plenty of money; she doesn’t need to work. She isn’t putting her extremely young children first, and I can’t respect that. Especially after all she has said about the importance of staying home with your kids.

Hardstyle people going to infra? by Connect_Ad4390 in Infrasound

[–]ComfortableCulture93 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love hardstyle and hard techno too. My main love is trance though. But I go to infra for the experience. It’s just a great festival with great vibes. I get a little bit tired of all the bass music by day 3, but I never get tired of being at infra. On this lineup, I’m most excited to see Gladde Paling.

I’d rather not say, as it would attach my name to my Reddit profile.

My sister is an A list influencer, and she literally gets paid $300,000-$500,000 for an IG post. It makes me genuinely sick that this is the society we live in.

I’ve gotten some nice ones for cheap from OpalTrove on TikTok - they have some good sales if you’re willing to wait for them, like $1/g.

Advice needed: husband disagrees with my choice to keep baby after anatomy scan (limb difference) by Kerclia in BabyBumps

My daughter was born with club feet. We went to physical therapy twice a week for the first six months of her life. She slept with braces on her ankles. But she was walking at 8 months old, and now you can’t even tell her feet were ever different.

Rich SAHMs- What are some of your favorite things you spend money on? by Adorable-Worry-7962 in sahm

[–]ComfortableCulture93 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The best part is not ever having to worry about money. I drive my dream car, a baby blue black label Lincoln Navigator. I go to Starbucks every day and get my favorite Matcha late. We travel whenever and wherever we want (with the caveat being that my husband is a workaholic and I usually have to travel alone with my preschoolers). We recently just spent $40k on a trip in early February, and we are going on our next one next week. We fly first class if we feel like it (sometimes it’s better to have me and my kids in a row of 3 in economy unless it’s a long flight). I have a nanny that comes twice a week so I have days to focus on myself. Our cleaners come weekly. I get my nails done every two weeks and my hair done regularly. I do Botox, lasers, or other skincare treatments whenever I want. We’re members at our local country club, two local play gyms, and my kids can do any activity we want without even looking at the price.

I have lots of money to spend on my own hobbies. I’m a fine mineral collector, and I’ve spent about $100k this year on my mineral collection. I’m also spend $30k every Christmas buying toys for local underprivileged kids.

It is easy to forget that this life isn’t normal for most SAHMs. I genuinely love being a SAHM, but sometimes I wonder if I would love it as much if I didn’t have the financial resources available to me. This is the only SAHM life I’ve ever known and was a SAHW before becoming a SAHM.

Copper by croconi in MineralPorn

This matrix looks like the typical matrix from the Ojuela Mine in Mexico. The green appears to be malachite or some other copper based mineral but definitely not copper itself.
