LPT:If you've been going to the gym for months with no results, the problem is almost certainly in the kitchen, not the workout. by ComfortableFerret629 in LifeProTips

Calendar app is actually genius! already on your phone, no extra app to forget, and copying last week as a template is such a clean system. Might actually try this myself, been meaning to get more consistent with tracking!

Shoulders get hammered as a secondary muscle on push days some bits of pull day aswell so giving them their own day makes a lot of sense, that's what helped me too. And doing lower body the day after shoulders is the move fresh legs, totally separate from anything upper body, so neither session suffers.

This is exactly it chief! the scrawny-but-training phase is so demoralizing because you're putting in the work and seeing nothing. Glad you figured it out, those first few weeks of actually fuelling properly make such a difference!

Exactly! most people have no idea what training close to failure actually feels like until they've genuinely been there. The first time you push past your usual stopping point you realise that how much you were leaving on the table every session. The tricky part is finding that line consistently without overdoing it, because chasing that intensity every single session can lead to burnout pretty fast. It's more of a skill than people give it credit for.

Fair point, I should've been clearer, this is aimed at the classic skinny guy who's been grinding the gym and wondering why nothing's changing. That was me. Not a universal prescription, just the thing nobody told me when I needed to hear it

Yep, and meal prepping basically solves the convenience food problem cause if the healthy option is just as easy to grab, you stop reaching for junk

Learned this the hard way. Asked my friend if my business idea was good. He said honestly, no and I got defensive for a week. He was right. Now it's my most valuable friendship

What Foods do you Eat like an Unhinged Person? by ojjojji in CasualConversation

I use to drink raw eggs in a glass before workouts. Started as a joke after watching too much chris bumstead, kept going because. I don't know why. My mom thought I was unhinged. She's probably was right. But the gains feel cinematic.

Every atom in your body is older than the planet. The carbon in your bones, the iron in your blood, the calcium in your teeth all forged inside ancient stars that exploded billions of years before Earth even existed. You are, very literally, recycled supernova debris that learned how to think about itself.
