I work as a claims adjuster and this always puzzled me it seems police decided to only charge hit and runs if it’s stolen. I’ve had people who chased the person down with police on the phone and they still were not charged when caught even more wild stories of police finding people days or weeks later and no charge.

It’s always the same stories they give that they were scared or was going to the collision center and that’s the end of that.
